When decorating for Christmas?

I like to do all the decorations by myself, it is not only making me happy to make somethign by my own hand, but also it bring me the Christmas spirit. But the problem is I have to have it prefect, so I am fixing forever. But this year I have it almost done. what about you? Do you do them or just buy them? Does it need to be prefect? Where you get inspiration when you are making them at home?

I make a lot of my Christmas decorations. I do not waste my time to make it perfect. If after a couple of tries, it still not what I wanted I just leave it as is. I get some of my inspiration from reading magazines also I love HGTV so I pick up some of the tips they have.

Oh no! Not perfect in my house! I have a dog, a cat and a four year old. If I tried for perfection, I'd be nuts! Looney, bonkers lol. Besides most of the fun for me comes from watching my kid help decorate the tree! My problem this year, was she wanted to put things on the top of the tree, so my husband got a ladder and allowed her(with assistance) to climb the ladder. It still made me nervous! At 41/2 it made her day! My cat likes to attack and knock down the lower ornaments. Everything else windows I let my daughter help as much as she can. Her smiles are worth it. So what if it's crooked. My husband deals with the roof lites. We just try and have fun! Have a good holiday.

Our decorations are simple, just a tree with lights and a few ornaments and i might add some candy cane and then a stocking for our son :)
