What do you do to spread holiday cheer?

Do you smile at a stranger on the street? Do you grab an angel off the angel tree to shop for needy children? Do you help put together food baskets or help at a soup kitchen? What is it that you do to help spread joy at Christmas?

I got an angel of the tree this year. Usually I get two but this year funds are really, really tight but I had to get at least one. I actually lucked into getting a 4 month old! It was so fun shopping for it. I spread the cheer in other ways too - like smiling :) But I've never gone to a soup kitchen. Would love to do that one day though.

ooooh! To shop for a baby again would be so much fun! There are so many new things that weren't available when mine were babies! I love adopting families at Christmas. You know that even though you don't know who they are, you made someone's day just by caring.

We used to always pick Angels off the tree and help out a needy child. This year we just cant afford to do that. So we will be making cookies and passing them out instead.

We do as much as we can afford to do too and I think passing out cookies is a wonderful idea! Everyone likes to get a homemade treat this time of year and if you ask me, it takes more caring to make or bake something special for someone else.
