About four days ago I wrote a review for sharedreviews.com. There they pay you $2 a review (though as far as I can tell no money for views or votes or such, however if you get involved in the community then you can get more and referrals can make you a lot of money, let me know if you are interested in helping me out by signing up and writing your own reviews. Anyway, I got my first review accepted. They are supposed to pay out at then end of the week if you have $10 or more...

Can you explain actually what's involved in writing reviews? Do they have to be lengthy? Thanks for any information you can share.

On Shared Reviews you have to write a review about a product that you have tried or that you own. (I believe that right now product reviews are all you can review here). They have to have good English grammar, be 400 words or more, Include the company name and the product name such as Bissel Upright Clean Sweep or such, and shared reviews would love if you added pictures and video. I personally don't think $2 is worth adding either (especially since copyright issues would require that you take pictures or video, though it appears some have gotten them off the internet, I am just not sure if that's a good idea). Review Stream pays less (though with their voting system you could make a passive income from votes on your reviews). There your reviews can be about anything...literally. Items that they have a lot of reviews for are likely to get bought at the bulk rate which is currently $0.30. Other items are bought at the regular rate which is currently $1.50. Their payout is $50 which is a lot of reviews, but you can review anything! They want the name and address (if it has one) and then a short review. I am not sure the word count I would guess about 200 words. I have had one that I had to go back and add additional words to, because they let you know right away if it is too short. Their requirements are good grammar, not written in all caps, and it has to be a personal experience. They are easier to write for...

Sounds like alot of work. I'll give it some thought and check into it. If I decide to join, will certainly let you know. Thanks for the explanation.

I probably would join both of these sites to check them out through your referral link if you have them to share. I don't know if I would take it any further or not. I used to write a lot at epinions and enjoyed that and this seems along the same lines except better paying, lol. thanks.

Review stream isn't done with an account, so there isn't a referral link. Shared reviews does theirs with an e-mail address. I will send you the e-mail if you message or pm me your addy. Thanks!

I just submitted two reviews to Review Stream, which I learned about here on myLot. I'd be interested in sharereviews.com, PM me with the link and I'll sign up and check it out. Thanks! Annie

hmmm...that stinks...they only let you do invites through e-mail...if you are still interested pm or send a message (I have never used myLot's pm system, but am willing to give it a go). If you don't want to wait for the e-mail then head on over there and check it out. It is a little more complicated then Review Stream, you have to set up an account and a profile, plus the review needs to be a product (if I understand right) and 400 words long.
