I haven't burned candles in a number of years and all of a sudden have started burning them again. Seeing the little flames gives me a cozy feeling like snuggling under an afghan during cold weather. Must be a seasonal thing...

It might be a seasonal thing for you since you are not a regular person who burns candles..I am a candle person, i burn candles all the year round.I agree candles not only feel cosy they also smell very nice.I have been a candle person all of my life and have always bought candles..I often shop all the candle shops in the mall and when i go to walmart i never leave without going to the candle section.I have so many candles i have to have a special place to keep all of my candles..haha.Have you ever been to one of the little gift shops that sell those awesome smelling candles? well thats me i burn them all of the time...I also burn oil cups and burn all kinds of good smelling things.I do not know where i got this candle personality because Mom never burned candles when i was at home, but i must have passed it on to my girls because they always have candles burning in their home too..

So what's your favorite candle company or scent? Have you tried Candle Light?

I love candles. If I could, I'd burn them all the time. Unfortunately, school dictates what we can and cannot do, and burn candles is on the list of things we cannot do. I'd probably do it anyway, if I had the time and the energy to do so, just haven't. I love burning candles though, any chance I get. I just like the atmosphere they create.

I used to burn candles all the time but ever since we moved into our new house, I've pretty much stopped doing it in favor of the fireplace. Like you, the flames mesmorize me and gives me a cozy feeling.

I miss being able to burn scented candles. Ever since we purchased our birds all we can light are the plain old tea candles. Don't get me wrong those are nice, especially if you place the in an ice candle or tea light holder, but I miss the different scents!

I like to start burning candles in the winter because it helps warm up the room a little. But, I've made it a tradition every time the weather starts to get cold. It gets too hot in the summer to light them, for me, though. I like candles with food scents, though I think it affects my allergies. I especially like Sugar Cookie and Pumpkin smells.

Either that or your latent pyromaniac is emerging. My husband said that whenever his mother lit candles her eyes would just sparkle.Same for the fireplace. He said she was a pyromaniac at heart. Yes, I agree it is cozy. I do not have a fireplace, so I have to be content with candles. I just pulled out some milk glass assorted footed glass containers, and put them out on top of a cupboard. They look really pretty with red and green votives burning in them, as they glow whatever color the votive is that I put in them. It may be a year when we are needing to feel more cozy and homelike and centered. Candles do help with that, I agree. I think you need something soothing, what with all those dozens of cookies you are decorating. Have a peaceful afternoon, do you have a favorite candle scent, or prefer unscented?

I like candles too. Especially in the holiday season. My only problem is that at least to me they don't seem to smell as much as they used to. I used to keep a couple of candles burning and you could smell them all over the house. Now the candles I buy I can barely smell them while standing right next to them.

I love the peaceful feeling of burning candle and the nice fragrances you can get but my husband hates candles and doesn't want them in the house.

Candles? All I can associate was gloomy and sadness. It was something I used when the electricity were cut ; I see it at wakes ; The shadows from candles.... Even though now I know that candles can be used to aid meditation, aromatherapy and even the strength of a candle wick - these are supposed to "overcome" my sadness and replace as new associations.

I think you are right. I started burning them more here lately myself. I guess because it is getting close to Christmas. That and some of my candles have sents and they smell so good.
