Irfan Pathans maiden Test Century

Pathan played a fantastic innings but it would be awesome if he can back it up with bowling which he didn't do till now, although he has given very little run but he still needs to ball well, he needs to pick up atleast couple more wicket, which is very difficult to do in a non-wicket taking pitch.

I am very happy with the way he played the whole innings. Not only was he positive threw out the innings but also his short selections were proper. He showed that he has the quality to be a very good all-rounder for the Indian team. What I'd think there's a requirement in the team for a particular kind of player. But it is not always possible to get the exact kind of player. But it is the job of the selectors and the coach to find someone who is near about him. The Indian team for a long time now needs a good all-rounder. The last genuine all-rounder we hand was kapil. And if they look closely irfan has the potential to do so but the only thing is that we have to polish them a little. This is what team failed to do previously and that is the reason he was out of the team.

ya phatan plays well.ofcourse he has to given a chance to play agnist aussies.not only with bat in previous matches he recorded a good economy in bowling he manages batsmen well.so based on that he has to be given a chance for come back.

Wow What a great innings.... He should be picked instead of Dinesh Karthik.

yah in my view his batting is improving day by day but he should concentrate more in his bowling because if pathan is in form in bowling it makes fear for the opposition team it makes good for the indian team in my view he is a match winner
