But...it SAYS "try me" !

Whenever I go into a toy store or a toy aisle, I can't help but press every single thing that says "Try Me". Seriously... It SAYS try me! So I just feel obligated to try it! I was walking through wal-mart tonite though and the one aisle was all crowded so I went through the other aisle and passed by a "try me"... I was kind of amazed at myself. Especially because it was a "my little pony" and I loved them when I was a kid! Are you a "try me" addict? Do you just HAVE to try it when it says try me? Do you avoid those aisles at all cost cause you can't help trying them (or your kids can't)? Do you have no clue what the joys of "try me" are? I love me some "Try Me" toys!

Its funny :) have noticed people like you many times, but it doesnt happen to me. I might try a toy that seemed nice, or had sign that would say "Best sound" or "Space Marines battlecry" just from being curious, but i wouldnt do this to all toys of this kind.First of all, i dont have much time to do that when i visit a supermarket or toy shop, usually i enter, shop and go.

Yeah. It's so fun though! You should really try it. and being curious is why I do it! I mean, it says "try me" so I'm curious to know why I must try it...so try I must :) I usually go in and get out too. Unless I get stuck in the toy aisles!

Nice! I seriously haven't been in a woolworths since I was probably single digits. I didn't think they existed. I think they got bought out by some major company here Maybe wal-mart. to not have a wal-mart is a sad sad thing.

Your husband has to get involved so you guys can make it a family event! It's certainly not right that he doesn't want to be involved in that. You might need to get him some help with that :p

Lucky you...I've only tried to push that button a couple of times and each time the toy hasn't worked...I guess either the batteries are flat or the button is broke! For some reason, I feel guilty when this happens so I now stay away....lol. I'm a cowardly custard...lol.

Ha ha. Me too and it bugs me when the toy has been tried out too much and it doesn't work for me! I will actually stand in the aisle and search for another of the same toy so I can try it out. It annoys Michael when I honk bicycle horns in Wal-Mart too. I'm just trying out the merchandise!

Yes, you're right! Most toys these days have that try me tags!I thought it wasn't only me who was lured into those toys. I just finished buying a gymn toy for my baby boy, four month old.But before coming up with a purchase, I tried pinching those try me toys.In the end, I decided the gymn toy as those try me toys wasn't yet appropriate for my baby's age.It was fun though.I have never spent two hours before in the toy kingdom. But realized, my child in me had expressed the likeness of TRY ME TOY!

Typically, I do not touch the try me toys because if I worked in a store where people were doing that all day I would loose my mind. One day I was in wal-mart checking out in the plant section. Near the register there were all these holiday toys - the kind that light up, dance and sing a song. An older lady came by and turned about 10 of them on (my 8 yr old wasn't even touching them!), I thought the girl at the register was going to have a nervous break down. When I got up to the register I was talking to her about the toys and she said that the adults are with pressing the buttons.

Ha ha. It is true. I see adults doing it more often than kids sometimes. I can see how it would annoy workers, I don't usually make them all go off at the same time though. I'm not that cruel. Ha Ha.

Hehehe, that's hilarious. I've never seen a sign that says "try me." But I will make sure not to bring my kids to any toy store. Both of them will probably roller blade through each isle and push every "try me" button. No wonder they think Toys R Us is haunted. lol.

You've never seen a "try me" toy!? How is that! Do you not go into toy stores yourself? Toy stores are joys for kids. I wouldn't allow my kid to go crazy wild in a toy store, but I think it's fun for them and I'd totally take mine and let them try stuff if I had kids.

I do like to try toys yes, but I also worry that it's going to make too much noise because it's very annoying when kids run around pressing all the try mes and the toy just keeps going and going and going. Also what's annoying about try mes is that when you actually buy the toy and take it home, the batteries are flat because *someone* has been running around pressing it already! haha na but try mes are a good way to see what you're getting for your m oney and also it's smart to take the toy from the back so you know it hasn't been played with.

Ha ha. Yeah I know. I do feel bad when I can't find a toy that actually works. But the thing is that you can always buy extra batteries (you'll need them anyway) or ask the staff if they have any in the back that work. I think it's to be expected though, that something is going to be loud and noisy. I don't think they would make "try mes" if they didn't want people to try it though you know?

i LOVE playing with the "try me!" toys! hahaha. whenever walking past them i have to press the button or the hand or foot or whatever it is and see what it says/sings/plays/does. haha. it's just great. sometimes the people i'm with get annoyed with me doing it, haha. but not badly because, in the end, it is pretty funny.

Why is it that there is always a "try me pooper" (rather than party pooper!) in the crowd. It's just really sad! The only thing is that I do actually feel bad that I may run down the batteries for someone who actually wants to BUY the toy. I really do try to avoid toy sections though just because.. it's really an addiction isn't it!?

Well I like try me stuff but when I actually try them people always give me strange looks because these try me things always have some kind of stupid loud music or something like that.

LMAO! I'm a feeler...not a try me. I love touching things. Esp clothes! And strangely enough bras are the worst. I guess because I'm always on the lookout for a nice comfortable bra.

I really enjoy doing that too even though most of the time I'm not even there to buy toys for anyone :-D It's fun. But it can be realllllly frustrating if you can't find one that works! Like you, I think, it says "try me" so I must! If it doesn't work, and none of the others around it work, we fight with it and dig to the back to find one that does. It should be someone's job to test all the try me's on a daily basis :)

You got me!:) I'm also a "try me". Always was and always will be!lol! I even encouraged my son to try all those "try me" toys. My husband will just shrug off his shoulders when he sees me doing these. Well, there will always be that little child inside me and those "try me" toys are just too much of a temptation!lol!

I LOVE the try me toys. I have to avoid the aisles because people look at me oddly when i walk down the aisles and try everything. I remember once a few years ago my cousins and I did a "Toys R' us run" which consisted of all 5 of us going into the store each taking an aisle running down it pushing all the buttons and running out. It was a blast but i'm sure it drove the store employees nuts!
