yes I totally agree with this concept that walking is also an exercise. I will add here in this sentence that the walking is best and very exercise. Doctor suggest this sort of exercises to the pacients of blood pressure and the pacients suffering from heart diseases. this is a best way to burn the calories and it is better exercise for those who are becoming fat and fat day by day.

I agree it is an exercise, since it has been proved to burn calories.I dont walk much last years, and thats not good :( But i think if you want to use walking as exercise, you must do it in a strong pace, not just like a walk in the park.You gotta keep it a little faster, not jogging or running, but still keep up a good pace.This way it will work better.

Hi sure walking is an exercise but only walk in pleasent envoronment and with mind set to do exrercise the walk we are doing in office or on mall with stress and other thoughts on mind, is not exercise infact its exertion. So walk in park with free mind is good and proper exercise it says it should be minimum for half hour and walk should be brisk and move urs hands as well Take care

Of course walking is also an exersice. Because it will help help strengthen your heart & bones, relax your mind (brain), improves overall physical function. You don't need to sweat a lot or doing extream execise in order to stay healthy or fit, simple walking is good enough - especially the elderly.

It's considered as an exercise. Good for the heart too and lungs they say. I prefer to walk than ride if my destination isn't far enough and the street I'm going through is safe. I like walking at the beach every early morning and see the sunrise. Also at sunset; it's relaxing and I usually walk barefoot in the beach while picking empty shells from time to time.

Walking is good exercise provided it is done at a brisk pace. It needs to be brisk enough to get the heart rate up. I lost a great deal of weight just by walking fast for long distances. It is the best form on non impact exercise. You should walk as much as you can but it must be done briskly.
