yourself BEFORE and AFTER a heavy meal just because you have eaten too much in a day? Few ladies were planning a date for a buffet dinner. I do not mean to eavesdrop but their conversation was loud enough for everyone around to hear despite the noisy conversations going around in the train. One of them was calculating the number of dinners she would have had. Her friend was suggesting it's ok to have heavy dinner every day as long as one STARVE oneself before the meal. Or at most, do not eat the next day. Another suggested to take some carbo-blockers, Lecticin and some other diet supplements before and after the meal. I cannot help being amused :p Why the trouble to such an extent? I thought to myself. What is your thought? Will you STARVE yourself BEFORE and AFTER a heavy meal or would you rather forgo the meal(s)? Kindly share :)

Hmm.. as in I am going to a buffet later, will I eat less or nothing at all now? Well, it depends on whether I intend to gorge in quantity or just sample the wide spread available. If it is the former, then yes, I will go light and don't eat so much. I won't starve. I will just snack a little so that I am not too hungry or full. If it is the latter, then it's actually quite the same too lol. Since I will be eating a little of many things.:P

Will the little of many things end up in indigestion afterwards?

I'd see what I could manage. It's hard to say really because each time things change and the amount we can east also does. ~Joey

if I am at a buffet and there is tons of great food I could easily eat 2 days food (5 plates full maybe) if youeat that much, its hardly starving to wait a couple days for more food

Are you saying you get 5 plates and then wait for few days for more food?

i will eat a lighter meal before and after but not to the extent of starving! carbo-blockers is really taking things too far. at a buffet i also eat till I'm full but not any more cos after that i feel really awful and it defeats the fun out of eating a buffet!
