Do you think it will be helpful or a bother? I am ranked in 62 categories, geez I didn't know I had chatted in 62 categories! I think these ratings may prove to be helpful, you would consider the opinion of someone more positively ranked more seriously then someone who is not ranked highly. Perhaps it will encourage people to write better quality responses? I like the new thing mylot has done with the interests. Makes it easier to see what people are talking about and what they have called you interests. Makes it easier for those of us who want to talk about the same thing to get together. So what do you think about Mylots new updates?

I really have not caught up on everything yet, Aurone. I've had a beast of a day, and it took a major effort just to be able to get here. For now, I reserve the right to withhold judgment on the new ranking system. If they say it is an improvement, I will just have to take their word for it-for now.

Sorry that the day has been such a beast for you worldwise. Let me know what you think when you get all caught up.

It is a puzzlement! I don't understand where these ratings come from...are they based on number of response, on number of +s vs number of -s, the size of the response, the number of best responses. I have no idea what they mean. Maybe they are based on starting a discussion in an area rather then responding to it. I don't understand the reasoning for the change or how to use it, but I did notice I am no longer getting mail from myLot

I am getting mail just fine, perhaps you should send them an email and inquire if there is a problem with you getting email from them. I don't know how they are calculated either. That would be a very interesting thing to know.

I am just curious with the new ranking system, I dont know if its good or bad or what, there are numbers behind our names and I just wonder what it means. I hope mylot can give us the range of the rankings and what each number means. For sure it would be a great motivation to all mylotters here. I hope you can also help me with this issue. Thank you so much and happy mylotting!

I think it will take us all a little while to figure out what the rankings mean. But anything that helps increase the level of material and quality of posts is a good thing to me.

I think the highest level is 15 and you can see what number you are ranked out of how many have responded to a topic in your profile by adding it to your sortie.

I am not sure if I actually understand the new system. I have not been on in a few days, but would love some more info if you could tell me what it is all about.

They just started today. You have two new ratings levels and rank. I am not sure how any of this is calculated but the higher the level the higher you have been rated by people in that interest. Then there are your ranks, you can look at these by adding your interest rankings to your profile by adding a sortie. The it will tell you what your rank is among all the people who have been ranked in that interest. For example, I am ranked 37/4422 in the cats interest. Which I guess means out of all 4422 people you have been rated enough in cats to have a rank I am the 37th best poster or something. These are supposed to change daily, so we will see how much they are worth. Then they have a nifty little bar graph that shows you how your compare to everyone else.
