I have been mia much of today due to a doctor's appointment in the morning and the fact that today seemed to be the day for updates. I really had so much trouble installing the new Norton Security that Yahoo has switched to. I was finally successful on the third attempt. Has anyone else had a problem trying to install the new security system on Yahoo? I think they need to get with the program so that they will be compatible with the Firefox browser since it is so popular now. Many other applications have upgraded to allow for Firefox. I wonder if it is just Yahoo being loyal to Microsoft.

I've been using Yahoo with irefox for ages worldwise with no problems. I'm not using Norton because I use AVG. The Norton that came with the klatest version of Yahoo is just sitting on my desktop. I'm sorry to hear you are still having issues.

I did uninstall the Norton's, Ms Tickle, but I do believe it left behind changes to my system that were harmful. It has required a lot of hard work on my behalf to get things running semi-normally once again.

Thank you for BR. I was asked to instigate even further security measures in the last couple of days. The thing is, I have 2 email accts with Yahoo and it seems only one has full protection....lol.

The situation arose, ctry, when Yahoo decided to change over from their regular security to Norton's Anti-virus. Believe me, it has caused me one big headache!

Forget about it, worldwise1. I also had same experience. It took long long time to download it. When the downloading was taking place, my computer worked slowly. I finally cancelled it. I couldn't stand how long it took place. Well, as a phrase is saying "there is no free lunch" (LOL).

Don't despair, friendship, because it can be done. A couple of suggestions: Open Menu. Go to link where you select access preference. Disable Firefox and select IE. You should also clear your browser when IE opens. Then go to Yahoo Software Downloads. You should have no more trouble installing Norton.
