Whenever I feel like these, what do I do? I raise both hands up in the air, look up, think of any happy thoughts or laughable jokes, while thinking I shout out as loud as I can the feeling I have; I'm angry, I'm sad, I'm depressed. And somehow, my negative level subsides, not totally but a great deal. I works for me, could work for you also, or maybe you could also share your technique. Anything will do, and would be a great help to everybody here. Thanks.

I usually write, I use thoe negative emotions to fuel the story's spark of life, to make it seem more real, I just throw myself into it. I'll spend time wiht my best friend, who's mood's always rub off on me -- she's contageous lol. And if all else fails, I run or practice my eclectic fighting techniques, to get those endorphins going to help me. Sometimes, if I'm not able to do any of these things, I'll close my eyes, take a deep breath and mentally push the feeling back. And if it's not gone, then it at least moves down a bit toward more manageable levels and I can function, seemingly, to others as if nothing's going on. Which is smarter than my telling anyone other than my best friend lol.

I've read and studied, though not in depth different fighting styles, so to release some energy I'll go through the motions of my techniques which is just a garbled mixed versions of many different styles. Sometimes I'll stretch first, as is advised, but sometimes I don't. I'll go right into punching moves, kicking, or if I feel up to it..with my sword or a stick, slicing and blocking moves.

That's a great way to fight of or reduce your negative emotions. Using the negativity to do something positive. I've never taught of that. What is your eclectic fighting technique that you do? Im curious. Is it like getting into a brawl with a friend for the purpose of feeling good? Please do explain? Thanks for the reply anyway. Hear from you soon.

It's a good thing nobody can hear you shouting. :-) Anyways, I just used the stressball and I listen to music. I also play computer games. If it did not subside at all, I think of the reason why I am angry, sad or depress. Then I pray for guidance.

Yeah I have tried this also. Listening to good soft music. Before I'm using a stressball but only is I'm not that so angry or depressed otherwise I could have thrown that ball here and there until I get exhausted and quiet down. Playing pc games is good also, keeps your mind off which is causing you to be depressed. Lastly, praying for guidance. When everything else fails, going to a quiet room and praying does help. Oh yeah, it does because I used to go to a adoration chapel to pray or meditate. Thanks for your tips jeb. Merry Xmas to you.

Yes, smoking is a stress reliever to many. It relaxes tension, although, I don't smoke I tried it several times but it's not for me. I've tried doing some thinking whenever I'm depressed but it also stresses my mind so I become tired physically also. What do you think about when your depressed? Can you share with us? thanks.

This is what I do, I turn everything off, and I close my eyes and meditate.. Just stop thinking about it.. I don't know whether this would work for you, but with practice, it would work... :) hope this helps, cause seeing happy things make me even feel worst..

Yes, that's a good way to relieve tension-meditation. Is it a form of yoga? I read in a book somewhere that lying down or sitting still, focusing on a blank spot in a room (in your case turning of the lights to remove distraction). Then concentrate on your breathing slowly in and out. I've tried this before and yes it does work. But also, the room or your surrounding should be quiet also, right? Anyway, thanks again for sharing your knowhow.

I just take a walk over to the park and sit by the duck pond and just watch the ducks swimming about, and I just enjoy the relative silence. I then take a few deep breaths stand up stretch and take a walk back over the park green,I find this works for me.

That's good to know. Walking in a serenely calming place and watching nature in silence. And yes, breathing in deeply and if I may add releasing it slowly concentrating or imagining your tension or pressure taken out as you exhale. Thanks for your share.

Well true, it will cause the nervousness on brains and makes to fear about the results and hence the focus is lost and hence gets into poor performance

I would just listen to my music mostly composed of songs from Linkin Park, and other "emo" bands. :)
