I saw an article that took me to this web page. It is interesting for parents. There is information on toy safety, the top 10 most dangerous toys, alternative toys and more. It's worth checking out. http://www.revolutionhealth.com/healthy-living/parenting/childs-health/safety-first-aid/toy-safety?affiliate_code=orl&ipc=B00162&msc=A63228

thnaks for this very helpful for me just need to get parents to see my point of veiw. They are getting a bike from Santa for a 3 year old she has a ridingtoy that she dosent peddle good yet she loves to use her feet to make her go fast and fast she does then coasts and will run over any thing in her path if it isnt to big she guides real well she dont cre if she runs over something. The bike fits her size and has training wheel so am I being over protective? Not wanting them to give her one of these yet.

Hi estherlou! It was really difficult to choose one that is really safe for the kids when I was shopping for toys the other day. So, I ended up buying caps and shirts with their favorite cartoon character instead. And I told the kids that I will just treat them on a Christmas carnival in our local area a day before christmas and that really made them so happy. Thanks for the information you have posted because it is really helpful for I have still some toys to buy for my and hubby's godchildren. Take care and have a nice day! Merry Christmas and Peace to all! :)

Great discussion Estherlou...It is so important..especially since some of the toys have been out for awhile and people may have them in their homes and not realize the dangers. It is a very important topic and should be addressed by not only parents and grandparents but those who may purchase toys for other children. The health and safety of our children is under attack from manufacturer's that used the profit margin to determine the product's coatings,structures,etc...instead of the safest processes.

Thanks for posting this link. It's helpful, since I have a few new little ones in my family to buy for. I recently was looking to buy a Fisher-Price product that I found out had a safety issue. I know in the past, there were all kinds of potentially dangerous toys, but if I can avoid buying something that could be harmful, I will.
