I have always owned dogs and found dogs friendlier. I seem to only like a small % of cats, most I am just neutral toward I guess. Dogs are usually happy to see people, while cats are mostly just lazy after they grow out of kitten hood. Most cats I have know sit around and groom themselves, eat and sleep. Not the most interesting animals, IMO. Then again, I have met a few cats that were quite a bit more interesting and would have owned them as pets even...but they were not mine.

Look at my avatar and take a guess LOL! I do like dogs but I loooove cats. They're affectionate without being too needy and their purring is so calming. One of my favorite quotes, from Albert Schweitzer: "There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats" I can't imagine my life without either.

I love them both equally. They both make loyal, loving pets and are a blessing to have in your life. I have two cats at the moment and they're so loving and sweet - they're my babies! I hope to have dogs someday soon though. We really want a pug and a huskamute (cross between a huskie and an Alaskan malamute).
