Thank you so much. I did know about Eid-ul-Fitr but I didn't know its name. I would always ask my Muslim friends when Ramadan starts and ends. I would always ask how it was going. And with Eid-ul-Adh'ha, it is nice to see that we have Abraham in common.I remember how life changing from the movie Malcolm X a pilgrimage to Mecca can be.My wish for my Muslim friends is that get to see Mecca at least once. Is Eid-ul-Adh'ha celebrated in the spring or fall? Thanks again.

Eid is a celebration of Muslims, There are two Eid in an year(Hijri Callendar),
1. Eid-ul-Fitr: Eid of Giving:-
It is after finishing one month fasting in holy month of Ramadan(Hijri Callendar). It is to thank God's blessings on us, to be happy and to renew our relations and friendships. Just before that day, main food Items or money will be distributed to poor or needy to make sure that on that day nobody should suffer of hunger.
2. Eid-ul-Adh'ha: Eid of Sacrifice
It's the sweet memory of the devotion to God of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), sacrifice.
On that day wealthy Muslims or group of Muslims in an area will sacrifice an Animal(buffalo/cow/goat) as a memory of the of Abraham in sacrificing his son Ismael (But Christian belief Issac), and distribute to people.
Also renew friendships and time of happiness.
And it is also the day of the Pilgrimage 'Hajj' done in Mecca(Saudi Arabia), many Muslims all over the world goto Mecca and do the pilgrimage, it's the remembrance of Abraham, his life, his wife, birth of Ishmael in the desert etc.
'Eid Mubarak' in Arabic means 'Blessings of Eid' or 'Have a blessed Eid'
Hope you got it :)

Happy Holidays to you sarahruthbeth.
Do you have snow where yo live? Wanna have a snowball fight? My family used to go out every Christmas morning, mom and dad included, and have a snowball fight. It was great fun. The two girls and mom and dad against the four boys! Okay, my sister would always quit when she got hit by the first snowball. But, the rest of us did it for awhile, then we would build a snowman, snowwoman and six snowkids in the front yard. Ahhh....good old family memories. Sometimes I just really miss being a kid!
PEACE

No.Thankfully we don't have any snow. I don't like the snow. I like it when it rains on Christmas.
