Smoking Sucks!

I'm sure everybody knows how risky is the smoking, and how nasty habit it is. I don't intend to tell smokers to stop. If they wanna ruin their health, they are free to do that. But, what I have the right to say is, why won't they leave me away of it? I mean, the smokers are the one who should see if there are other people around them, non-smokers, before they start smoking. Why should I swallow their dust? It's them who should go away, not me. What if I take a bottle of gas, and start spraying around? I'm sure everybody will start yelling at me, if not else. I don't see the difference when someone smokes, it stinks, it's nasty, it's dangerous.

You are quite right my dear. But it happens as you have expressed. In fact, if you will request someone not to smoke in front of you he would start quarrel. So it is better to keep ourselves away from smokers as far as possible or to cap up our noses as normally very less smokers really bother to see around as the enjoy in thereselves only. So sad of thsi indeed!

But where is the justice in that? If the non-smokers back up,then it turns that the smokers have the right to smoke wherever they want. I'm not doing anything nasty and dangerous and I don't wanna leave if someone is smoking. They should leave. As I said, if I bring, for example, a horse feces into an restaurant, I don't know if I would leave alive, but smoking is just as nasty, and far more dangerous.

I really don't care why they smoke. I don't wanna mess into their lives. If they wanna smoke, they are free to do it. But they should be isolated, and not bother the rest of the world.

I myself have been a smoker and i know how hard it is to quit. Its very difficult. I dont think you will have to worry about people smoking cigs out in public much longer. A lot of places are trying to ban smoking out in public. I know Hillary Clinton wants it banned. But i dont know if your from the united states or not...

No, I'm not from the US, but I'd be happy if it's done, cause the USA is a role model to the rest of the world. But, it has to include all public places, so the smoking to be allowed only at home or at the isolated places specially picked for that. It's too bad, though, it couldn't be done with just increasing the awareness of the smokers, so they don't smoke in public places, and especially in presence of little children, or sick people.

Yes thats true that smoking is a very risky things specially in our health and body. For me, and searching about it and knowing the physical effect of smoking. And smoking is a very dangerous to our health specially to our lung. And if we are new to smoking, we didn't notice the effect of smoking to our body and if the times come, and it is notice that our body is polluted of what we called a nicotine and even we have a cancer to lung. Maybe smoking have some benefit but mostly there are some disadvantage in our health.

I agree with you smoking is disgusting and people who do smoke should take into consideration the people around them. I'm very thankful for the new smoking laws that are comming into effect. Soon smoking will be illegal anywhere but in the smokers house away from non-smokers and children. Once that day comes most will have to stop smoking and maybe one day very few people will smoke.

I agree that smokers should be respectful to those around them. I smoke, but I also pay attention to my surroundings and when/where it's appropriate to smoke. Off topic, but something along the same lines. Many people think nothing of pouring on cologne, perfume or whatever form of fragrance. I had someone come to my home and honestly I could smell their perfume before they came inside my home. They had a newborn baby and I can only imagine how that affects a little one. I'm very allergic to most fragrances, but there isn't much a person can do about it out in public. So smoking isn't the only thing that affects people in public or elsewhere.

Thats why there is a smoking area in every places for smokers to smoke there.just dont get near the smoking area.but for those who smoke anywhere they wanted, think of people around you first before you smoke, dont put them in danger by inhaling secondhand smoke from you it is more dangerous than the smoker itself.please dont let others suffer from your smoking.
