I don't know how many of you know this but apparently, personality traits match with one's blood group. Rh factor doesn't play a role here and here are the general trait for each blood type: Type O: Type O's are outgoing, and very social. They are initiators, although they don't always finish what they start. Creative and popular, they love to be the center of attention and appear very self confident. Type A: While outwardly calm, they have such high standards (perfectionists) that they tend to be balls of nerves on the inside. Type A's are the most artistic of the blood groups. They can be shy, are conscientious, trustworthy, and sensitive. Type B: Goal oriented and strong minded, type B's will start a task and continue it until completed, and completed well. Type B's are the individualists of the blood group categories and find their own way in life. Type AB: Type AB's are the split personalities of the blood groups. They can be both outgoing and shy, confident and timid. While responsible, too much responsibility will cause a problem. They are trustworthy and like to help others. Compatability by Blood Groups: A is most compatible with A and AB B is most compatible with B and AB AB is most compatible with AB, B, A and O O is most compatible with O, and AB So, what blood group are you? Does your personality correlate with your blood group? What are your comments?

So you don't always finish what you start? You didn't seem like that:)

I have to check out the site you mentioned(for curiosity's sake). But from the different posts on this discussion, not everyone's qualities are true to their bllod type (as per the theroy). Then eating according to their blood type wouldn't make sense.

I got the name wrong, it's actually called Eat Right For Your Type and the website is www.dadamo.com I followed this diet a few years ago and it really did work for me however everyone in my family has a different bloodtype so it was hard to keep track of. If I lived alone, I would definitely follow this diet. To explain more of the diet, some foods just don't go well with your blood type. I learned to eat turkey over chicken, if I remember pork was better for me as well. I had tried all sorts of new recipes and loved it.

Hi Sviswan, I am of blood group B positive. The Japanese analogy of blood groups and personality is pretty much going with me. Having said this, my friend who is B+ like me, has traits more like AB group! Thanks for sharing this. Have a great day.

It's probably like our horoscopes...fits some and doesn't fit others.

that's interesting but might not always be true. I find the O analysis quite accurate. it's called the generous blood group as well, since it can be tranfused into all other blood streams. But for the A blood group I don't think it's accurate. My A blood group friends are not necessarily artistic. This is interesting but I wonder what studies they did to come to this conclusion. And what their sample size was. Did they get 1000 of people in each blood group to fill up a survey and draw out the commonalities? Or just adjust according to hearsay?

I'm not sure how they came to the conclusion but I know it's a pretty old theory and I read about it somewhere.

My blood type is O and I match the description to a T. Not only that but my sun sign is Aries, on the Pisces cusp (fire and water), and I match that to a T. Additionally, in the Chinese horoscope I am a Water Dragon (fire and water), and I match that to a T. My rising sign is Virgo, which has traditionally been ruled by Mercury, and when I was born Mercury was in Aries, on the Pisces cusp.

Wow! You must be a perfect study for anybody!lol It's not often that you come across someone who matches to a 'T' traits mentioned in the horoscopes (I mean the different ones used in the world)

I have to disagree only because I'm blood type A. Me shy? ROFL. But I guess this isn't any different then reading about traits assigned to signs of the zodiac. If you know anything about those you shouldn't be surprised to learn that I'm a gemini.

My blood type is type A. Your description fits me very well, except I don't consider myself artistic. I am a perfectionist and I do appear calm on the outside but I am really frazzled on the inside.

I'm also an A and quite a bit the same way. I'm a writer, so I guess I do fit the artistic profile.

This I did not know?!?!? Does this mean that aside from the O, AB, A blood types, there is now a blood type called - egocentric/idiosyncratic? LoL If so then I am most definitely a new believer in this field! (And I am ashamed to admit that I have no idea whatsoever what my blood type actually is.....)

lol...I'm sure a lot of us would fall under the egocentric/idiosyncratic blood type. What???? You have no clue what your blood type is? You definitely are a candidate for egocentric blood type..lol

I'm B+ but the description that fits me very well is that of type O. SO I guess that blows that theory right out of the water.

For me too...I seem to be a mix of all and I'm an O+. I just wanted to know what people thought of the theory. In Japan, it is common for employers to ask their employees for their blood group to assess their traits.

Intersting concept :) I am type A although I always thought I was O for some reason until I had my daughter and they said my blood group was A. The thing is, even though I can relate to the rest, I am certainly not a perfectionist LOL and I am quite calm.

you did not explain in details about blood AB. I am AB+ and my wife is AB+, and we are doing well. Talking about personality, i love helping people, i used to be very shy though atimes confident and i hate responsibilities. tell us more.

Type AB's are the split personalities of the blood groups. They can be both outgoing and shy, confident and timid. While responsible, too much responsibility will cause a problem. They are trustworthy and like to help others. I didn't make this up...it's an old Japanese or Korean belief just like we believe in horoscopes or astrology. And you just mentioned similar traits:)

Hi SViswan, My blod group is AB positive. What you stated about me is very much right. My wife has blood group O positive and she is and your trait for her also quit similar to her nature. what is he effect of positive or negative radicals in blood group.

According to the theory (or what you may call it)...the Rh factor (the + or -) has no effect on the personalities.

Your description of my blood type is not accurate at all. I am O+ and it does not sound like me at all.

It's not personally my description...it's an old Japanese theory. I'm sure it's like the horoscopes or sun signs...fits some and not others...or there might be exceptions or as I see from other posts mixed traits.

Um...I don't think this is very accurate. I am type O. Shy. I hate going into situations where there are lots of people. I hate crowds and social situations that require me to talk. I can force myself to reach out, but it makes me feel sick inside. I wasn't popular in high school and still have only a few friends. I do think I am creative. But not very self confident. Additionally, I must say that there are a lot of factors that go into a personality and I don't think that grouping people works well. It's like trying to group people by the Chinese calender or by their "sign". It just doesn't work, some fall inline, most do not.

"Type O: Type O's are outgoing, and very social. They are initiators, although they don't always finish what they start. Creative and popular, they love to be the center of attention and appear very self confident" OH that is so NOT me at all... not even remotely close actually....I'm actuallly more of a Type A or even a AB really...

I am an A and the description fits me perfectly, and I do get nervous but refuse to show it. My husband is an A as well, and are we ever fussy. My sons are both Os. So I gather as far as I am concerned, this is correct. I guess all those people who ask,"what good deed did you do today," or "how do you feel after you did something good for someone?" are all ABs. Funny, I always thought that ABS were not as numerous as the other types.

I am type O and I am not outgoing or a initiator. I do finish what I start or I wouldn't have started it in the first place.I rather not be the center of attention. But I am creative. So I guess the traits are half right.

Hi, My it is B+ ,As indicated B will start a task and continue it until completed, and completed well. Type B's are the individualists of the blood group categories and find their own way in life. After a just rewind of my life it partially right. May be I have to check my blood group once again. Still those are correct to others whom I had checked this with.
