Granddaughter's Kids Taken

My heart is very heavy because I learned yesterday that the two boys of my oldest granddaughter have been taken away by CSB. When she called to tell me about it we cried together. This is something that I have seen coming for some time now. She does have some issues that she needs to work on, but much of the reason is due to a power struggle between her and the father of the oldest little boy's family. I have talked with all of my daughters and we have agreed to support her in every way we can so that she can be reunited with her boys. I feel especially sad for the baby because he is very attached to her. Her mother is working with CSB to have the kids placed with her for the mandatory one-month period that they have to be out of their mother's home. I would ask that all my friends here at MyLot pray for the best outcome for this family. Thank you.

So sorry to hear about your granddaughter's problems. I hope that she is able to get the help she needs and that she will be reunited with her children soon. I hope that the children get to come stay with their grandmother, so that everyone knows they are being well cared for. Your whole family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

If that were only possible, THKOhio! If I know my daughter, she is not willing to step up to the plate, so I don't expect much help from that corner.

Thank you for your prayers, mummymo, and I just wish there was something I could do to help out in this situation. My health is not the best, however, and I could not take on the responsibility of a 1 year old.

I had this happen with a friend and her grand children last year. That grandma had the three kiddos for about a month, and I will say that good did come of it, as it reassured her daughter of her love and it provided some awesome bonding time for Grandma and the children. That was important as there are other issues now, and the mom and dad are splitting. The grandsons know that their grandmother is there for them in all of this, because of the time that they spent in her home. Of course, I will pray right now for the best outcome, as you say, in the situation. I am sorry for this sadness in the family right at this time of year.

Your kindness is appreciated, GG, and I would feel better with the knowledge that my daughter was inclined to step in and do what was necessary, but she is not. So, I will continue to pray over this.

That must have been heartbreaking to her.I am sorry to hear this.It reminded me of the situation in one of my neighbour here. There is no single day that she abused her son, so one day a concern citizen reported her and the police with the social welfare came. She had been given a warning but if she will not change the son will be under the social welfare's custody. I pray for your grandaughter to have her children back. All the best.

You're granddaughter and her kids are definitely in my prayers tonight my friend. I'm so sad to hear about this and especially now during the holidays. I hope the mother gets those kids for that one month period at least and that the guy eventually gets what he deserves for doing this at this time. Couldn't he have waited instead of doing it now? It goes to show he's not thinking about those poor little kids. I'm sure you and your daughters will be a good influence on your granddaughter and she will realize she is blessed to have you. Keep us updated on what happens ok?

I can't tell you how painful it is for me, lilybug. The older one, who is 6, sat with me a couple of weeks ago while his mom and grandma went grocery shopping. They are very sweet kids.
