Balaam was requested to curse Israel. But he couldn't. When he saw those people, he uttered this amazing prophecy: "I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near; a star shall come forth from Jacob, and a scepter shall rise from Israel" (Numbers 24:17). This prophecy is about Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself tells us He is the star. "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star" (Revelation 22:16). Behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a son and you shall call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:20. Isn't this such a wonderful scripture? This is the greatest announcement. He is on his way to save us. Isaiah 7:8, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgement and justice, from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6. Now I don't know about you, but there are some scriptures that make me want to jump up and shout everytime I hear or read them. Above, is an example of just a few of them. I just get so excited when I think of what Jesus can to do. If I had been the only one on this earth, he still would have came and died. To me, that is deep. I mean, have you ever really said that to yourself? Try it. Go look in the mirror and look deep into your eyes and say from the heart like you really mean it, He died for me. If you don't believe it, keep saying it until you do, because it is so wonderfully true, Jesus was born to die for me and for you. Isn't that good news?

Amen! Jesus is so awesome and to know that if I had been the only one, He still would have come just for me is an amazing feeling. There are times that I have to be reminded of that, but God is so good. He shows His love to me every day and I thank Him for that and i thank Him for sending His son to not only die for me, but for everyone else. He is an amazing God and to send His one and only Son, knowing what He would go through, just absolutely amazes me to know that He loves us that much. Praise God! God bless and Merry Christmas

That's really a good news and so a version of the Holy Bible is even titled Good News. And that was also why the angels told the shepherds that the Christ is born in Bethlehem. If the Christ was not born, the Gentiles to which group we belong would not have a means of salvation and so the birth of the Christ is a good news for all of us. But to celebrate His birthday is not in the Holy Bible and none of His apostles and disciples ever celebrated His birthday. Christmas is a Roman Catholic doctrine and tradition. Christians following the Holy Bible do not celebrate Christmas.
