Do you open presents before Christmas day?

In my family we have a tradition of opening some presents before December 25. We get to open one of the not too serious gifts under the tree like chocolates, socks, and simple things like that. Today I got to open my remote control truck, I've been asking for one for years and I finally got it(I'm 19 now). What are some of your family's traditions during the holidays?

When I was a kid, we could open one gift on Christmas eve, a small one. On Christmas morning, we had to wait until everyone was up and had their robes on, and Mom and Dad had their coffee mugs in hand. Then we could all rush into the living room and open our presents. Five kids, so it was raucus and fun. Now, it's just us two old fogies, but we still open one the night before and save the rest for Christmas morning.

Oh wow 5 kids! That must have been crazy. Paper and bows flying all over the place.

In my family we always open one gift on Christmas Eve. We usually open the special gift, that way it does not get lost in the shuffle.
