I think I'm a little down about working on Christmas eve. It is my normal day off, but because of the volume of decorated cookie orders, I have to go in to work tomorrow. Big sigh. Just having a pity party I guess. If I worked in retail...I'd be hating to see all of the customers come in at the last minute too! I guess having a job affected by holiday buying is not unique. Hubby says I need to suck it up. LOL

I hope hubby is not telling you to suck it up while he is staying in bed or staying home that would really really suck.

I know that in the 18 years I worked in a grocery store, I hated seeing the holidays. By the time they were here, I was so tired and did not want to deal with anything. All I wanted to do is sleep. Sorry that you have to work, hopefully it won't be too long.

I don't have to work today or tomorrow. My job isn't affected by the Christmas season. Sorry you have to work today, but if you didn't make the Christmas cookies who would make them? I hope you get to enjoy your Christmas with your family tomorrow. I'm not sure what I will be doing! May just sit in front of the PC all day! Merry Christmas!

The other thing that I would hate in retail is that I would have to work 1) the day after Thanksgiving, and 2) the day after Christmas, with all the returns. I guess it is not as likely that you will have returns on your decorated cookies.

I am sorry that you have to work on Christmas eve. Nobody should have to work today. I know that is impossible but I would like to see all stores closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas and Easter. Hope your day is not too bad though

I'm having to work both christmas eve & day, because medicare doesn't recognize holidays. Home health care doesn't get holidays off.

Well, being a 911 Dispatcher and next to last hired.. I work ALL the holidays. Luckily (or unluckily) I work midnight shift, so I will be home by 8am on Christmas morning. It's tough for the kids to wait that long, but they will. That and then I probably won't sleep very well that day either. Oh well, sacrifices..lol. Send me some cookies will ya ??

Well at least you work in a creative part. My son had to work on Christmas day because the oil field always needs equipment not to mention that some people just did not show up!

Well, I am working on Christmas eve and on Christmas day too... And when I though it couldn't be worse I also have to work on New Year's Eve and New year's day. That is just a risk that I have to take because I work in a holiday resort where people are coming and makes us busy every holiday season. I just hope that they dont complain a lot, so at least that will make my day a lot easier.. Anyway Merry Christmas to you Estherlou..
