Did you have the misfortune of running into someone you been trying to avoid? This person you have been trying to avoid for a day or for days or for months or years. I been trying to avoid this person for years and guess what he was invited by my aunt to our Christmas party at her house last night....It was no fun but I made it okay by just being civilize and just smiling and nodded my head...even when the person made some nasty comments about the past...what would you do if you were in that situations? Have you encounter something like this before?

yes i do. all the time. at school is see this person almost everyday and i try to ignore them but they talk to me so i have to start talking to them and eventually it ends up as a conversation but i try to avoid them as much as i can. in your situation i would just wait until its over so i can go back to my life. thanks for reading. -extrex.

Yeah sometimes we have to do that in order to keep peace so to speak....it's hard to understand why these people don't feel how we feel or know or pick up on how we feel...I mean if we are trying to avoid them they would or should have picked up on something ....wouldn't you think?

a BIG YES!!!! yes, i was also caught up in this kind of situation... when i had my new job, i was really praying that i wouldnt bumped into this guy but it seems that the world seems not to play with me. I bumped into him a couple of times but the good thing is he was silent about the things that had happened in the past or he was only pretending not to... cheers!

I'm quite lucky. I really haven't really met anybody I don't want to meet. If I really do meet someone I don't want to meet, I'll be sure to turn my head and face somewhere else, or go somewhere else. I don't think I even want to say hello.. if I really dislike the person.

Sounds as if you handled the situation with class. I have been in that situation often with my ex because of our children together. I am polite and friendly to him and no one would ever know that there were ever harsh feelings between us. Over the years, he also treats me with respect but there was a time when it was quite difficult and awkward. It's best not to argue or buy into the negativity of the other person and you always feel better about yourself afterwards. good job!
