Sad News Today

I called my sister just a few minutes ago to see how her day went. We chatted for a few minutes about the day. She then asked if anyone had called me or left a message. I told her that nobody had called. She then told me that my Sister-in-law's Mother died today. My Sister-in-law found her. She hadn't shown for dinner. They rang her house twice with no reply. Her Son's wife went to her house with my Sister-in-law. The car was in the driveway, the door locked to the house. They had to break-in. They found her in bed and non-responsive. CPR was started while they waited for the medics to arrive. She apparently had died in her sleep. Such a sad end to the day. I pray for healing for my Sister-in-law and her family. I know it will be a difficult time for everyone. Always remember to count your blessings. You never know what turn life will take. Blessings to you all.

Oh, Elusive what sad, tragic news to hear. Had your sister-in-law's mother been ill at all? It does sound as though she may have passed away peacefully, but to hear such news, particularly on a day like Christmas is truly sad. My prayers are with your sister-in-law and her family.

I am so sorry to hear what happened. Why does it seem that things like this always happen so close to, or on a holiday. I know my mother's brother passed away on Christmas Eve and not a year goes by that we are not saddened by the memory. I feel for your sister-in-law as I found my mother when she passed and it was so hard for me to get that picture of her out of my mind. Be thankful she had a peaceful passing in her sleep and remember we do not grieve for those who have passed, we grieve for those of us left behind who will miss them terribly. Blessing to you and your family.

A very shocking news indeed. I hope your sister is doing fine now. I do have a similar incident that happened several years ago. I lived with my mother in law and one morning we noticed that her alarm clock just kept on ringing. It was unusual since she usually stops that and gets up the bed. My wife (her daughter) then checked her up and tried waking her up and she did not respond anymore. A very traumatic incident that happened. We were just one room beside and we were not able to check on her at all. We even tried bringing her to the hospital but to no avail they were not able to revive him back.

What sad news, especially on Christmas day! I'll pray for your SIL and her family that they find peace at this difficult time. How awful for her to have found her mother! I can't think of anything else to say other than to repeat your advice for everyone to count their blessings because we truly never know. Blessings and hugs. Annie

That is such a sad thing to hear at Christmas time. Every Christmas now will be a reminder of what happened and I don't envy your Sister-In-Law one little bit, for my Grandson passed two days after Christmas and although I look forward to the celebrations, and honour his untimely departure from this world, just two days after... there is a while of sadness amongst the celebration. I take two hours out every year, to connect with him, and on Christmas Eve, we light a lantern for him, at his resting place. I would like to join you in the sending of healing energies and strength to your Sister-In-Law and her family. Brightest Blessings, in love and in light.

Hi ElusiveButterfly, I'm so very sorry to hear about this. What a shock for your sister-in-law, and it'll be an especially sad memory, as it happened on Christmas Day. Was she suffering from any type of illness? My sympathy to you and your family.

It is sad to see someone die and it happened during the holidays to boot. Know that she was loved by those around her. Sadly, I had a grandmother to die on Christmas Eve 1973; I'll never forget it because I was ten and getting ready to go out Christmas shopping, and we got the news. A friend of the family ended up taking us out. Please accept my condolences at this time.

Hi, ElusiveButterfly. I am very saddened by this news. I agree, that life is very precious. We all should embrace each other. We just don't know when we may last see each other. That is why it is very important for us to treat each other with love and kindness.
