Moms, Dads, Grandmas and Grandpa's are you exhausted this day after?

I'm sitting here because this is the only place where I can get a minute's rese, have my coffee and a cigarette and be away from the mess that's ahead of me today! It's amazing how it seems like the day will never get here but of course once it does it's over as fast as Santa gets down the chimney. I have to say I'm exhausted and put a Barney dvd on for my granddaughter to watch while I do what I have to do. I was sound asleep by 9:30 last night along with Vicky and we didn't get up until after 9 this morning. So now it's over and all that's left is the clean up. Are you tired and wish it would all just go away on it's own? Do you have left overs that need to be taken care of and gifts that need to be put away? Where do you start?

Yes, I'm exhausted and thankfully have the week off work. I can't imagine going to work today. I have piles of laundry to take care of and hopefully will get rested back up. At least I don't have to cook!! I have plenty of leftovers!

Laundry is the only thing I really don't have to do. I made sure I had it all done the day before Christmas. Of course having my granddaughter here all week it is starting to pile up again but it's no big deal. I'm also thrilled with all of the leftovers I have.

Hi Ctry, hope you had a wonderful Christmas...and Yes, I'm just too pooped to pop, haha. Christmas Day I just kind of relaxed and watched a movie with my sister...glad I didn't have to do anything else as we celebrate on Christmas Eve. I was really exhausted. I still have another Christmas to celebrate in January with my girls because of schedules and other families. Then in January, we just do ours together, so I'm still up for it, haha. We're going out to dinner too thanks to my Grandson and his Christmas gift. Yup, I got to start all over again in a couple of weeks, haha.

Hats off to you, ctry, for making it through relatively unscathed! LOL My Christmas Day sailed along as smoothly as could be. There was no hustle and bustle, no cooking, no family get-together(although 2 of my daughters did drop by to bring food. I spent the day in my usual manner, enjoying a double-header of NBA basketball after I visited with my friend for awhile before she left to visit her daughter. As to where you should start, I'd say throw out everything that needs to be thrown out is a good beginning. Then you can sort through the other things that need to be done.

I'm very proud of myself as I look at everything tonight. The decorations are all boxed and waiting for my son to take to the basement tomorrow when he comes to set up my new desk. Vicky and I finished off the Chinese food from Christmas Eve. Everything that didn't make it into the trash today is ready for tomorrow. I have all of Vicky's gifts and my daughters here all boxed and ready for when Vicky goes home Saturday so I'm pretty well set.

I was in bed passes out around 10:30 last night. I got up at 6:30 this morning with my daughter. I let my son sleep in until close to 9. My daughter is already back asleep for a nap. Everything got cleaned up last night before I went to bed, so today is not that bad. I am on here for a bit while the baby is sleeping and my son is sitting here quietly painting the treasure chest I bought him for Christmas.

I've been lounging off and on all day with my granddaughter. I'm just happy the decorations are all down and the food is basically all taken care of.

I am totally exhausted and Christmas still isn't over for us. My son and his kids came over the weekend and we had Christmas with him. My brother came on Christmas day and we had Christmas with him. My daughter and Grandson will be here some undetermined time later this week and we will have Christmas all over again!

I love the mess and crazyness of Christmas. I hate picking it all up but it is always so much fun. I look at my son's room (we've only been up for a half hour) and I cringe but that's part of the Christmas cheer for us.

Oh yes i am..We went to my daughters , not far away but, of course i helped with all the food and stuff , and when we got home last night i went to my recliner and i was fast asleep by 9:00...Then my husband woke me up and said lets go to bed,i transfered from chair to bed and fell fast asleep.I woke up this morning and it was pouring down rain with thunder and lighting, and all i wanted to do was curl up and sleep..Christmas was fun, we had a good time and lots to eat and very active day but i have to say i was tired...Now it is cleanup time, all the decorations and tree and all the stuff is waiting for me whenever i am ready Lol...

I'm exhausted from working the three days up to Christmas and then the day after christmas. I am buggered. My husband cooked our Christmas lunch (HOORAY) while I laid on the couch and nodded off from time to time. I was exhausted from the hours I worked prior to Christmas day. Luckily I have two days off to catch up on my sleep and the house cleaning. Seems like a tornado went through it yesterday LOL At the moment I have all our sons toys and pressies in a laundry basket LOL its full to the top and I'm not sure where to store them - I may need to buy some cheap toy containers to store them in :)

After my family left yesterday I took an hour and half nap. I still have dishes to put away but the food is all taken care of. I need to make one more trip out to the garbage with Christmas boxes and straighten the upstairs up where my little granddaughter spends all her time.....I think I have a raisins on the floor thing going on up here! LOL

The holidays are very exhausting it takes months to get ready and only minutes to get all the gifts unwrapped I have so much food left over I really don't know what to do with it all. I do wish I could find something to do with it,instead of just throwing it out I have called everyone I know and their in the same boat so they don't need leftovers. I have alot of gifts to put away but that can wait until Saturday thats my day off. Its hard to know where to start.

I hear yah. I'm exhausted too. My out of town company has just left this morning and it's January 2nd. They were here since Dec. 23 and as much as I loved having here I am glad they are gone. This is the first real time I have had to myself. It has been one hectic christmas and new years holiday. For me it wasn't a holiday. I was busy cooking and cleaning behind everyone. We went out for dinner several times to other family members houses and we had dinner here three times for the whole family, as well as for my company. Today I have a lot of cleaning to do but I have taken a break and I am working on the computer. I don't think I am going to do anything else today. I have just decided the cleaning can wait another day. I have sheets to wash and other laundry to do. I have to dust and vacuum and clean out the fridge. I am sure I'll be throwing out a lot of food because some of it has been in the fridge for a few days. I have clean dishes to be put away, from the dishwasher, and more dirty ones to wash. I don't know where to start either, but I am not going to worry about it today.

I am not either one of those things, however I am still exhausted. I ran around just as much as both of my parents put together, because I had to help coordinate everything that was given to my little sisters, older sisters, mother, father, and grandparents.

I am working some extra hours at my part time job, and I am very relaxed about everything else. As long as the food is not out and getting spoiled, everything else can wait, but I do not have a grand child with me. Just a husband. We have a return to make, and then that is about it for today. I know it will not all go away by itself, and I would like to get to some creative projects, that is my gift to myself this year.
