I had one return to make to Walmart today. We waited until after my husband got off work. We walked straight in, no lines, no line at the service desk, but it was a jewelry return. We did have to wait behind two purchases and one return. Everything went smoothly. Did you have any return experiences to share?

I had a return at a WalMart last week. WalMart is, by far, the easiest store to return items to, especially when there are no lines. If they sell it or recently sold it, they take it back, even w/o a receipt (they give you a store credit) with a receipt, they either credit back your credit card or give you cash. Either way WalMart is the easiest store to deal with and it's one of the reasons I don't mind shopping there.

I only have one return. It is a neon LSU light. We opened the package and there are little pieces of glass everywhere. I haven't gotten brave enough to take it back yet. I hate crowds. maybe toward the end of the week things will have settled down.

Sometimes there are time limits on returns, so I thought I would get it done.

We only have one return to make. I bought my Hubby a pair of slippers that were supposed to be a size 11 and they are too small. We may make it out today to return them. I think it is best not to run out the next day to return an item. The lines are long and it is aggravating to wait in line.

I was very pleasantly surprised. By the way, thanks, my hubby enjoyed the Jeff Foxworthy book!

I had a return today, & no, it wasn't very smooth. The shopping was hectic, crowded with long lines. The security guard at the front had just reported a theft, & the police came rushing in, & it was all a bedlam. I had to return a black shirt for my husband. The one I had purchased was too small. There was a long line up, but eventually I was served & was able to get a larger size shirt.

I am glad they had what you needed to get in return. Glad things are going a little more smoothly at your house.

We did not have any returns this year. You were very lucky to not have to stand in lines for ages. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas

The day before Christmas we went there to buy a battery for hubby's watch and they said yes they had the right battery and yes they could "install" it for us. Then after we paid for it they rudely said they don't install those. Rather than returning it, though, we took it home and I figured out how to install it myself. Wahoo! We did not have to return it after all. So who needs them? From now on we can buy the batteries cheaply online. When stores are rude they give shoppers an incentive to shop elsewhere. I hope all the myLottians who had returns were treated courteously and had smooth transactions such as you did.

I read your post about that. I hope everyone had it smooth as well.If you do not want to shop online, check with Radio Shack, they are very courteous, and at one time I found that they were actually cheaper than Wal Mart

Wow you're lucky to have a good experience at Walmart. I refuse to go there because the lines are always long!!! I had an easy return at Kohls and a fairly easy return at Target. I still have to go to the mall to return some items to Ann Taylor Loft.

No I do not..thankfully... Our Walmart has been crazy... It's the only large store for many miles around so all the little areas around us use it ... xoxoxoxoxo

I have no returns to make this year myself but my mother has 2 that she's out trying to do now. One of which she forgot the reciept to so she couldn't do it, it was something she got for the cat but the cat won't use it.

Kohl's. The returns was short and sweet but then to stand in line to make purchase - stupid stupid stupid! I went to the after christmas sale - store opens at 7am. Good bargains and sales, but with 10 check out registers available, theyonly had 2 opened. 19 people in line and only 2 registers. This was on 2 different days. Someone in line asked (both times) if there were additional registers to open and he,in a very proud and "gotcha" attitude, says "this is all we have". Guess they figure you'll wait for the bargins you are getting. And we all did! But its just the prinicple - they aren't going to pay salary to checkers, when customers will stand in line all day!

I have two things to return this Saturday hopefully it won't be too bad by then most people should have their returns done already. I have to take back the light sketchers that I got the kids my son used his an it quit working after just a minute so I decided to take my daughters back too befroe we open it as they seem cheaply made. I told them they could pick out something different.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I bet they would be fun if they worked right.

Wal-Mart is one of my least favorite places to return items. Their CSRs always have to find a manager to override whatever purchase I made. I know they are only doing their job, but it takes forever. THen I have to keep up with the receipt or get a gift card to use in store which takes another 9 forevers for the manager's manager to approve and swipe. Then more often than not by the time I go to use it I realize they didn't code it properly and have to dig *that* receipt out to get my money back for the 2nd time.
