I work for a MNC and it is imperative that one wears formals during the week. Fridays is the informal day when everybody is down to jeans and T shirts. Now a days, youngsters wear jeans and formal tops during the week too. Do you all have to follow a dress code too ?

we don't exactly have a dress code. i mean, we have a dress code but its not really that strict. we are required to wear formal wears but it is okay if we don't have one to wear. we can still wear t-shirts and jeans. however, we are strictly required to follow a color-coding for the upper garment. for Monday, its red, Tuesday is peach, Wednesday is blue and Thursday is white. on Fridays we are also allowed to wear anything. ^__^

Wow, this is the first of its kind I have heard. This must be really great, having different outfits but with the same colour. Unity in diversity. Great. Have a wonderful 2008

Our company is not that strict with this thing. As long as it's presentable to the eyes, that would be mere acceptable to the eyes. That's why I like to stay in our company.

I also work in an IT MNC. our office dress code says we must dress in formal from monday to thursday. On fridays casuals can be worn. but there are also restrictions as any workplace should be.

i work for a fashion company. everybody loves to dress up. some of us are in couture everyday. most of us are in jeans but there's always a fashion statement somewhere in the outfit, be it an accessory hanging here or there, shoes, scarves, even hats... this is especially true for the product development and merchandising department who is actually the creative department... the heart and soul of the business of the company. personally, i dress up rather simpler than the rest. but i do enjoy being with these loveable, beautiful people.

Yours must be a really exciting job, what with new fashions and models etc. I suppose you must all be competing with each other for dressing up, all for fun of it. Have a wonderful 2008

It's really cool here in my workplace. Our dress code is not very strict, we go for the casual look everyday. The obvious no-nos would be sleeveless tops, slippers, shorts and mini skirts. So everybody's wearing jeans and shirts or blouses (for the females).

Must be nice to have no strict dress code. I am sure you must be enjoying yourselves. A Very Happy New Year to you and your family. kt.

The reason why the dress code is in my office is for the simple that theat the office wants to keep everyone looking in a singular way. They do not want one particular individual to stand out from the rest, or for an individual that does stand out to get picked on by his employees. I believe that this is for the best, so I have no complaints when it comes to a standarized dress code.
