Here in canada, the day after Christmas (dec 26) is also a stat holiday, but now it has become more of a shopping holiday! many people choose to go shopping that day (though the store has limited hours). this year, they are calling it boxing week sales because they figured about only 23% of people actually entered a store on boxing day. i havent gone yet, but i hope to get out soon. i would like to get some christmas wrapping paper and curly ribbon and christmas stickers (for home made gift tags). have you gone shopping yet this week(post christmas)? did you get any bargains?

No, I have not, I am hoping to do that Sunday, when at work. I work with developmentally disabled adults and I am sure one of them would like a shopping trip. Plus we have $30 in gift certificates from Kohl's that we received when we did their Christmas shopping. Maybe we could do something fun with it. Or maybe get them something for the house. I think Boxing Day sounds like a fun Holiday, I saw a MASH one time where they did Boxing Day. I think since us American are so close to Canada, that we should adopt it as one of our Holidays.

Nope. I missed the whole thing, I'd rather miss it to because people tend to go crazy and shops are always full and then it creates a lot of problems. I'm much a cooler person when the air, isn't breethed by people who are just rude. That's the problem living in a small busy city. ~Joey

The stores are closed on the 26th of december. Now most of the stores have special offers, but i am not so sure if the prices are as low as they claim. Most stores have specials all the time anymore. I have not been shopping since christmas.

We did not go Boxing Day shopping. I spent all my extra money for Christmas and we have lots of cards and wrapping paper from last time. So we are all stocked up until next year. I really cannot stand the cold weather anyway. I do not have any extra money, spent it all on Christmas presents and what I have left is for my tithes, cell phone bill, two magazine subscriptions, and I have an account for emergencies and for saving for big items, and if I use that for buying wrapping paper, etc. I will not be very happy. I do not like buying things, other than wrapping paper, Christmas cards, etc. because at boxing day sales, they get rid of old stock.

We went shopping for a bit today... and on the way we were listening to 100.3... the Q, from Victoria, a very good radio station! My best finds were at walmart... gift boxes, colored tissue, mini-trees, tins... it was great! Now I'm set up to make AND package my gifts for next year!
