Bubblegum

I went to get a haircut today and there was almost a 2 hour wait so I came back home and will return a little later. While waiting I noticed a woman, maybe 5 years older than myself, chewing a wad of bubblegum. She was smacking and cracking and very loud. It was so annoying. I wasn't about to wait that long wait listening to her as she had her hair dyed, cut, etc. Does this type of gum chewing about drive you half batty?

That must have been very annoying. I know it would have annoyed me. I think a place like that where you are around a lot of people is just NO place to be chewing gum, any gum for that matter. People like that are so inconsiderate of others. Makes you wonder if they were raised to be that way. I'm surprised the beautician didn't ask her to throw it away.

I can't imagine how this woman taught her kids to chew gum......lol It was extremely annoying. Most of the clientele in this particular shop are older and may not have been able to hear the chomping. Thanks for responding.

Hello dear carol bee. I can understand how annoying you feel when one is chewing something so loud. I once had a similar experience, but it was someone who was eating opposite to me at the same table in a restaurant. I avoided hearing his annoying chewing noise polluting the ears by moving to another table though I could still hear it. So you are not alone there, dear friend.

Nothing is worse when you are dealing with an employee somewhere who does that and opens their mouth. I wonder if the boss knows....lol Thanks for responding and happy new year.

Yes! It's one of the worst things I can hear. My friend does it too......and you can hear her from another room!

How can you stand it? I would want to feed your friend so she would stuff her mouth with food versus gum...lol Thanks for responding.
