would you rather be sitting in a theatre all by yourself or with others ? and why? id much rather be alone.. i really dont like people talking through a movie or looking at me funny when i laugh at stuff that makes others quiver.. i like being able to hear everything and see everything without anyone being an annoyance or obstruction to my view.. although if ive already seen the movie more than once i could care less if people are talking through it..

I don't really now because when I see a movie I usually see it when it is availabe through On demand from cablevision. Going to the movies was never a luxury I could do. Hopefully now that I'm in college I'll be able to go to more movies even though I don't really have much money now due to all the expenses.

ah well i hope you get to go see a few more at theatres too then! its much more enjoyable than at home i think, the size and sound alone is worth the price to go see it.. although that price isnt getting any cheaper!

I would rather be with someone. Unless they are going to sit there and talk up a storm. Then i would definitely rather be alone. I know it drives me nuts when people sit and talk through the movie. Especially when they take calls on their cell phone.

they always seem to pick the most ideal times to talk too eh? like the one line in the movie youre really wanting to hear, maybe a favorite quote or something.. and sure enough murphys law will kick in and you got someone talking to you

I think it depends actually, on the kind of movie that you plan to go. I would like to have some company if it's a comedy or romantic one.. and would prefer to be alone if its an intense film or something that I know only I can enjoy and company will be a distraction.

ya thats about the same as how i feel on the topic :) i prefer the intense movies though crime and drama and suspense etc.. not very often i go to a theatre for comedy or romance due to the fact that they make the most noise

I like to see it in the theater for the big screen factor, and for the loudness and stuff, but yea other people being loud and gettign in the way, and having to get up to get more goobers or whatever those annoying people get up to do in the middle of the movie does make me a little mad.

ya definately.. people who cant seem to make those over sized candy boxes last through the previews piss me off too! and people who like to talk on their phones etc.. they should have cell phone jammers in all theatres! :D and lock the doors so you can leave but you cant get back in! haha

I don't want to watch alone. Being alone is boring for me, thats why everytime I watch a movie in a theatre house I have companion. I remember when I was young I always watching movie with my girlfriend and we are in dark side and doing something that we can't bored together.

Lately, I've gotten a lot better about going to see movies by myself. I always used to be afraid of it, because I thought people looked at women who go to the movies as "strange"...but I'm 20 years old now! I'm learning to be independent enough to go to a movie alone. Like you said, it can be really nice to just go to a movie alone and not have to deal with people talking to you.

there are movies that i wanted to see alone. i watched the last of the mohicans alone. on the other hand, there are movies that i wanted to watch with someone or friends. romantic movies are my favorites to watch with someone special. it makes the movie part of the moment.

this is true.. some movies are better watched with others.. i prefer to watch comedy with others.. laughter is always better with others.. if its a suspense or thriller etc though id rather see it alone so i can try to notice all there is to see and follow along with great attention

I do not remember going to the theater by myself. I am usually with my friends when we go to the movies. It's like a group date for us. However, when I am home I do not mind watching a movie alone. I could cry or laugh all I want. I watched "If Only" one time and I was crying to myself. I am glad I was alone when I watched that movie, at least no one's going to laugh at my mushyness.

well thats always a bonus about being alone also i guess.. getting to be yourself! ive watched plenty of movies at home alone, only a few in theatre.. its kinda rare i guess to consider going to the movies when youre sittin around alone.. more people should do it though! :D

i thought the whole going the the movies part was the fun part.. i understand that having friends around can make things more fun but you dont go to the theatre to party..
