Is I Pod over rated??

One of the most famous gadgets ever in human history I Pod has become a must for everyone.. But one thing i want to ask that is it really the best mp3 player available?? And what makes it so special that it is priced so high and still it sells like hot cake??

today i'm going to get one, which type should i pick ? maybe someone could suggest me "ipod touch ,of course, i you euqiped with enough money" :) " ,the fact is i could afford an ipod touch, but lief will become hard since i need to pay lots of things. at the same time, a player without a screen seems uncomfortable , so what's your opinion?

Look at http://www.cnet.com for reviews, I like the iPod & I also like other brands such as Creative. Now, you may consider buying creative they have ones with a screen if you buy 2GB or bigger. They also include FM radio & a recorder. They are much cheaper than iPod. Now, see if you can buy them instead. I would definitely recommend iPod touch because they can play videos, but there are some Creative ones that can play videos as well. You just need to research it.

:) thanks for attention, i visited "Zune" on http://reviews.cnet.com/, much cheaper than peer products, one thing confuses me a lot is it able to play movies not obligaging to convert them at the same time ?cause it time consuming and not convenient . i remember one time i played a movie sizing 500 megebytes on a mp4, it freezed finally, :)

no it never fails and is more reliable then other players; just like apple computers compared to other.

no, it is not overrated at all. Look at its size capacity. None can beat it. Look at the simpilicity ni its design. None can beat it too. iPod is definitely the best gadget around.

bottom line, it's pretty.
It plays music.
It's quality.
It comes with a decent warranty.
It plays cool games.
It's just cool.
and everybody has one.
