Squidoo referrals

As most of you already know, I am a big FAN of squidoo and brag about it every chance I get. Someone is listening because I now have 7 referrals. Thanks guys for joining. HOWEVER out of those 7, only 1 person is actually using squidoo. What is the point of signing up and not using it??? Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? I really dont like bothering my downline out of respect.

Can you tell me if I'm one of the active ones? I know I have made my site & have updated it but I don't think I've have many visiters - thanks for signing my site too :)

Yes this is a problem in many referral netwros I currently have 38 referrals at Squidoo, but only 11 of them are active so it is best to try and promote Squidoo in the area of writers and other associated forums as these are the people you want to target who may not already know about the Squidoo lens free opportunity. Out of all the referrals you make there will e two sorts of people, lazy people who wnat something for nothing and want all the work already pre made and done for them so they lose interest in doing anything with their sign up. And the second type, which is the one you want the writer who writes about a subject and puts the hard work into their lenses making them %100 unique and original and just love to create informative lenses that people really search for on the internet.

Excellent comment and so true. I really put a ton of time into my lens but now they kinda sit until I can think of new items to add. I do check my stats every week though and the modules to see if anything I can use.

What I try to do is write related articles that will be fresh content that can boost the lenses up in the search engines, I could add these to the lenses themselves or add them to a blog and link them back to my lenses, but I always try to do both as the more quality links leading back to anything you do will mean more traffic eventually anyway.

Isn't that common sense?? You have many people signing up as your referrals, but only 1 or 2 are active... That applies to many people with referrals....Best not to rely on others
