As children did you have a night light?

I never had a night light that i remember. I think my mom probably was smart and took it away REALLY young if i DID have one. I was always a bit of a night hawk. My daughter is the same way. I dont keep a nightlight on for her either cause she will try to stay up and playplayplay. She would never go to sleep if i left a light on.

I use to have a night light as a child and because i have never liked the dark i still had a small one just for reassurance until i was about 16. It may sound childish, but i was alot happier with the smallest light than i was with no light at all. I couldn't sleep with no light at all. My son has a night light in his room too, just so if he wakes up he can see where he is and not be as scared. ~Joeys wife

No, but I do now. I have night light - really pretty tiffany style lamp about 10 inches tall! I have it in my bathroom (attached to bedroom) and leave it on at night. That way, no stumbling in the night to do my "business" and don't have to turn on a light and get blinded and a headache from a regular light. Don't have one near the bed anyway! Nothing wrong with a night light. I rather like being able to see in the dark! I think every kid should have one in their room for the same reason. If they wake up it is cause of a problem - can't sleep, potty break, lost their favorite sleep buddy, just want to make sure they know where they are. Nothing wrong with a night light

Night light, yes. Helps the kid sleep. Good thing, indeed. Night lights have been around for quite a while. In the 1850s or so, there was a patient for a "Fairy Lamp" which was supposed to be a safe way to give kids a candle nightlight. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_lamp

I never had a night light when I was a child.I don't think they had been invented yet but my child had one.
