It has been a tradition, which I don't know how it really started, here in the Philippines to prepare 13 different fruits (some 12), preferably round during the New Year's eve. What do you usually prepare (if you do?)? Is it also a tradition in your place? I think it came from our Chinese friends who are in in the Philippines. Well we usually have... apple, orange, pear, pineapple, grapes, green melon, mango (not round though), guava (the big ones).... what else? geeze can't remember... what else? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hi,there! Well, this is the first time that I heard about this.Usually in my country, people would prepare some fruits but I'm not sure whether that should be 12 or 13 different fruits. I just know that things if they're double, then that sounds good and may bring good luck:) Thanks for sharing the fruit saying.I think it's always good to prepare many nice fruits cause they're good for our health. Thanks for the discussion and have a nice day^_^
