I was recently sent this info. I didn't know about all of it. It is hard to keep up. Do you think there is any validity to this? The costs of the Democrat Congress are clear and mounting: * $300,000 earmark for the San Francisco Exploratorium museum in the Labor-HHS-Ed appropriations bill proposed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi * $1 million earmark for the Woodstock Museum proposed by Senators Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer * $2 million earmark for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service, the Rangel Conference Center and the Charles Rangel Library in New York City proposed by Congressman Charlie Rangel * $3 billion in border security funding stripped from the defense spending bill by Democrats * $23 billion in additional spending proposed by Democrats over the President's budget request * $313 billion in additional spending proposed by Democrats over 10 years * $1.3 trillion in additional taxes proposed by Democrats in the "Mother Of All Tax Hikes"

Yeah, and that is our money they are wasting. Then again it is alos China's and Saudia Arabia's money. I often wonder what would happen if the countries from whom we have borrowed money wanted it all back. We'd be broke!

Well, after the first few millions, I was thinking so what. They throw around millions like is was monopoly money. Then the firgure started escalating into the hundreds of billions. So, I would expect the mother of all tax hikes to happen sooner than later. The construction of this mess has gone well beyond both political parties. Neither has the guts to turn the tide. We cannot keep spending the future on wars and other things. Considering the requirements for social security, medicare, and infrastructure rebuilding and Iraq, we are in deep dodo. I am sure both parties will continue to spend like there is no tomorrow. It is going to take a monstrous cataclyism of dire proportions before this country wakes up. The politicians have passed the point of accountability and this entitlement and spending free-for-all cannot help but come crashing down upon us. It is at that point when we will be most vulnerable to our enemies. Heaven help us.

And isn't it funny how the Republicans are the bad guys in the media?? Smoke screens put up so no one pays attention to the fact that, if the Dems have a problem, they throw money at it til its fixed... gonna be real interesting next term....

Yeah, it's a bit crazy. And where do they get all this money. To think they spend all this money campaigning when there are starving children all over the world. Or the poor sick kids that could have their last dying wish. Or the troops over seas that could be living better and eating better. It's nuts how our politicians spend.
