Is there a driver out there for Windows XP to make my Epson LQ-870 printer work together with my Hewlett Packard desktop pc?

Was the printer connected to a computer
when you saw it working, or was the Demo
Mode(TEAR OFF/BIN 1/BIN 2 + Power-On) used to test it?

I have tried this printer in every printer port, usb port, serial port I have on the computer and it still won't work. Like I said I seen this printer work before I purchased it, but I got it at a yard sale/flea market type thing where I'll probably never see the owner again. I just don't know what it could be other than a driver situation....any help is highly appreciated

I did try driverguide when I first got the printer. However, the only driver there was for at best Window's 98 and I am unfortunately running Window's XP. Does anyone know of a compatible driver for XP and this Epson LQ-870 printer?

You can download the Windows XP driver for your printer from the Epson website.
They also provide a set up guide and manual for download.
