It's a simple matter of mathematics... Well, maybe not so simple, but the numbers add up easy enough. If you're exercising on a regular basis, especially if you're weight training, you need more protein to help build your muscle and keep it from degrading. More muscle means more calories are burned at rest. Don't eat simple starches (white bread, white rice, instant rices) unless you are preparing to exercise. Otherwise your body processes it too quickly, and it gets turned into fat. Avoid eating sugars an hour before or after dinner. This causes your glycemic level in your blood to spike, which induces fat storage. So more of that meal you just ate will get sent to the ol' hips and thighs. Cardio is key. The best time is as soon as you get up in the morning before you eat anything. This boosts your metabolic rate for the entire day as well as burning more fat than you normally would. Eat healthy, but stay away from fad diets. Try eating foods that are more natural like leaner meats, skim milk products, and fresh vegetables steamed. Salt triggers water retention in women, so use sparingly. And of course... DON'T COMPLETELY CUT YOURSELF OFF FROM THE FOODS YOU LOVE!!! This will keep you from cheating as much... it's just a matter of willpower. I'm speaking from experience having lost 65 pounds in this manner. Just remember that 3500 calories equals one pound of fat. Little numbers add up quick when summed over the week. Hope this helps!

I don't know much about that kind of thing, I just wanted to say that I hope you use a sensible diet, one that is healthy for you. Be careful and stay away from the fads.

I don't count carbs or proteins. I have lost 50lbs this past year. I follow the South Beach Diet loosely. I rarely eat white bread or pasta anymore those were the staples of my diet for many years. I have switched over to whole wheat ones. I try to have atleast 4 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit each day. No sugary stuff either. Also make sure you exercise as well.

i wona tell u ive been trying to find online how many calories!,there is in food, in each food.. but i couldnt find,, its actually the best way .. is to count calories and stuff.. by the way.. i dono how this helps.. but i was watching on tv about those things,,, anyways,, the guy was 180 kg!!! .. they said that a person to mentain that weight is to consume around 4000 calories!!.. and a person 90 kg, consumes around 2000 calories.. to maintain that weight as well.. so they said for 90kg, if u eat like 1500 calories.. its good to lose weight.. now i dono how much u weigh.. but they gave in abit of large number.. so ive calculated that avarage of 70 kg or abit less. would consume around 1100 calories INORDER TO LOSE WEIGHT.. that means ur consuming more.. so i really dono i gave avarage .. but if u want to calculate according to ur weight. u do this simple equation.. your weight x 1500 ------------------- 90 = the calories u could eat TO LOSE WEIGHT.. not to maintain ur own weight,,, if u want the calories ur eating now .. just put 2000 instead of 1500 see ya hope this helps

I wouldn't count carbs or worry about that at all. It's just too much for me and I hate counting what I eat because it can get too weird later. I usually just watch what I eat. They said that you should eat alot of fruits and vetgetables and no caffene... Seriously, fruits has alot of suger...so no fruits. Just vetgetables and water. That's what I did or try for a month and lost about 15 lbs. It works but it's so hard to stay away from all the junk food. Crave!!!!

I wish I could tell you. I just started going to the gym. I have eight month's until my daughter's sweet 16 party and I really don't want to be fat, so I could look good for her party.

I'd love to know some good ideas too. I might have to throw my wedding together in a two week period (december or jan) if my fiance gets deployed again . So I want to look decent for it lol
