When do you take down your Christmas tree/decorations?

I usually wait until the day after New Year's to start but it takes a few days to get everything organized and stored well. Are you someone who leaves lights up for weeks? I know when we lived in the North we had to wait for a nice weather day so it wasn't too windy that it was dangerous or too cold.

I didn't put a tree up this year. I moved and haven't unpacked my christmas decorations yet. Next year. But last year and previous years I usually didn't take down my decorations till the day after new years.

New Year's Day or the day after is typically when we take down our tree and decorations. As for the outside decorations, they will stay until we have a decent weather day, as you said, without rain or too much wind. The forecast is saying snow tomorrow, but as long as it's not too windy, we'll take them down.

I like to keep it up until at least a couple days after christmas. I didn't get one this year, since I moved though.
