Starting a new interest, just because I can... :P

One of the things I can say I've done that not everyone alive now has already done in life is "died". Twice actually. I know there are a few others here who have had so-called "near-death" experiences, since there have been a few discussions on them. Still, I think it's a fairly rare thing. So I thought I'd start it as an interest category for things I have done, just because I can. Have you died? Do you remember it? Is it something you think of now as a positive experience, or a negative one?

Nope can't say I have and don't really want to try it out either. I have never known anyone who has but I would like to meet someone one day credible enough to believe about something like that. Interesting discussion.

So I'm not credible enough? Or it's just that we haven't actually met? *giggles* Don't answer that, I'm just teasing you! :P I've only known a few other people with experiences like this, and it's always interesting to hear about it to me!

*blushes* You didn't have to clarify that part about my credibility, I was just teasing. :) I am very lucky to have that sort of energy in my life, you're right. I sometimes wonder what I did to deserve it, because I have had certain ones of my Gods and Goddesses with me since I was a small child. I think for most people there is some sort of positive energy they can tap into, though, they just have to find the right source. For some people it might be religious, but for others it could also be artistic or even come from interaction with other people. I think perhaps the reason my Gods were so kind to me is that I needed that kindness so badly, not getting much of it from human beings early on. I would love to meet you too! :)

Did I miss your first line? Ok reading comprehension- sorry! Of course I do think your credible and a nice person with interesting discussions. Now that I have read through this discussion better let me reanswer. You were very lucky to have a goddess with you to make you realize what you had done and get you through it. I wish a lot of times I could tap into that kind of energy not really by dying though- I have too much more to do.Maybe I should say have that kind of positive energy tap into me for a wake up call when I need it. I'm glad it didn't work- your one of my favorite people on here. You are actually one of the people who I'd even like to meet because of your insight and life experiences. :)

Not that of anything I can think of.The closest was I was about to die of starvation when my dinner was served late.

I never have, but my brother did. When he was 11 years old he was hit by a van going twice the speed limit. His heart stopped for 4 minutes. He was also in a coma for a week. After staying in the hospital for a few weeks he came home a couple of days before Christmas. It was a long process for his recovery, he was also in the front page of the Chicago news paper. Picture and all. Today he is better than ever. There was no perminent damage, We are very greatful that he is with us every day.

I'm glad to hear that your brother survived and didn't have any permanent damage! That must have been a really hard time for your family, with him being in a coma and everything. How sad! Thanks for your kind words. I'm pretty glad I'm around too... a lot of great things have happened to me since then!

How long ago was that? I think I remember something on the news about it?

I technically drowned when I was a kid. I fell in the pool and my twin sister pulled me out, but I had already stopped breathing. It's neither a positive or a negative experience for me, maybe because I was so young. C'est la vie. Blessed Be
