Due to multiple sclrosis causing me to have and keep double vision. I didn't know it could be done untill today when I went to a optimologist at Shands Jacksonville. I am really happy that this can be done. I am a little nerovous though. I get this done on 2/14/2008. I have never had any surgeries before so i am scared so please everyone who prays and belives in God say a pray for me that everything will go good for me in this surgery. It will be so nice to go online and not see double. I might be able to drive again.

I had no idea that you were seeing double. But, I am very glad that you will be able to have it corrected. I keep thinking about having Laser Eye surgery. Hopefully, when I get enough money, I won't be a big chicken.
Heavenly Father I come before you asking that you be there with Shaun. That everything will go smoothly and exactly as planned. Comfort her Father and let her know that you will be right there with her. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Be blessed.

Bless your heart, Shaun, I will be praying with all my might that everything will go well and your surgery will be successful. Try not to be afraid-prayer helps. I have undergone many surgeries, and I'm still here kicking, lol. Just determine to go into it with the most positive attitude and you will be alright. And you couldn't have picked a better day!

Hey Shaun72. That's wonderful. I'm sure the doctors
at Shands will take good care of you. Believe me
I know. I spent a month there after a really wicked
motor cycle accident.
I have a proposition for you. I just live blocks from
Shands and would make myself available if you would
like a visitor. I also have an eye problem but not that
of yours.
Give it some thought and send me a message if you wish
to talk about it.

Hello again Shaun72,
If you decide you want to go through with the surgery, I will pray for the best outcome possible. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to think about it and get as much knowledge as possible so that you can somewhat plan for the possibilities of your choice. Good Luck and Take Care.

Hi Shaun--
Before I was diagnosed with MS I worked for an ophthalmologist who does these types of surguries--mostly in children (it's generally a form of muscle repair) and when i was first diagnosed I had double vision for about a month. I can't imagine having it for a decade! Get your surgeon's name and check him with the American Medical Association and then just try to relax. The forms you fill out will be terrifying as they tell you all the horrid things that could go wrong, but they almost never do. The worst thing I saw in four years working for the doctor (with this type of surgery) was them having to repeat is and that only happened once.

I will do that. He is a teacher at Shans jacksonville here in Florida so I know he is good. I am glad you knew about this information. I haven't had doublevision for the last 10 years it just started 10 years ago. No this time it started the middle of 2007.It just happens more then it should that's for sure.
