My love birds are attacked my rats ! ! !

I am a pet lover . I have about 11 pair of love birds . But for the past few weeks I have had a terrible time fighting with rats that are biting my birds and even killed one from outside the cage.I have tried almost every thing but i have very little idea how many are they because they keep on coming even after I got rid of about 8 of them :) . I have poisoned then trapped them in a cage and even somtimes got them with a stick :D.Any suggessions how to get rid of them because I really feel very bad to see my birds injured and die because of these creatures.

Hello dear kashimahmood. I am so sorry that rats are killing your love birds. But have you ever thought about hanging the big cage of your love birds at a higher place so that the rats would not be able to touch them? I can feel how sad you feel for the missing birds because of the rats. Hope that you will soon find a solution. Good luck to you and to your love birds.

I am afraid I can not hang all my cages . I have three cages. the biggest one I have has dimensions LxWxH is 2x4x10 .The other one is 2x4x6 and the smallest one is 2x4x2 cubic feet. As you can see ts is not possible to hang then these are huge cages and very heavy as well.

Such being the case, I feel sorry for it. But maybe the best way to make sure that there is no hole for the rats to get into the cage house?

i admire you of your being a pet lover:-) but unfortunate for because you have your enemies that are hard to get.. you know, rats were getting enjoyed and played outside when your were not on a place where they want to attack,maybe their best catch are you loving birds, if your problem is ho to get rid of them, all you have to do is to look for a thing that you think that are afraid of like cats...try this, just put a cat beside the cage, and observe if they wre still do the same. goodluck for the next fight w/ rats:-)lol.
