Is It Just Me?

Or is anyone else having problems with myLot today? As I was responding to some discussions today, none controversial or otherwise out of the norm, the "You can not paste..." message would pop up at first, do the usual erase a line or two and go about its business. Then it would pop up and my browser would close. Then it stopped popping up. myLot would just close my browser. Kinda like having a mom. No reason. She just felt like doing that. You'll understand when you're older kind of thing. Is it just me?

Nope, it is you and anyone here below 500 that is trying to use the copy/paste function for extending use of myLot time--in other words, a time out is given to those newbies (under 500) which becomes less notceable once you reach 1000. The copy/paste is a valuable function but when abused can overload bandwidth, typeset, formatting, collapse message boards etc. There are some really cool allowances here so just be patient . . .

So, I'm on a timer? Is that it? This makes the most sense! It is only when I go past roughly 10 lines of type that this occurs. I had thought of that but then concluded that that would be silly. What if a really good post/response takes longer? Naw, they wouldn't put a timer on it. Boy! Was I wrong! Thanks for the info! Very good to know.

Only problem I had with mylot today was that it posted my discussion twice. I just ran ccleaner and no more problems; so, I probably picked up some adware or spyware that was incompatable. You might want to check your computer for the same. If you aren't familiar with it, ccleaner only takes a minute or two to clean all the crap off your computer and it's free to download and use. I wouldn't be without it since most of the other programs out there can take a LOT of time to do the same thing and they don't do it as well.

I absolutely LOVE CCleaner! I swear by it! And I recommend it all the time! An absolutely fantastic FREE program. So, yes, I've run it twice and still had the problem. So i still don't know what's going on. Thanks for the advice though!
