Just can't seem to get into it.

We have a ton of college teams here; University of Pittsburgh and Penn State are the big ones. You always know when it's a game night because everyone goes crazy. I'll hit a party here or there but I'm not a huge fan of football ...

I love all levels of football and college might very well be right at the top. Some of the angles that I take when it comes to college football are I love to see the different styles of offense that college teams employ, I love the rival games and the buildup to them: Ohio St vs Michigan, USC vs UCLA, Alabama vs Auburn etc., and I love to follow the conferences and see which are making the claim to be the best in the country. I am a Pac 10 fan but the SEC is the power conference right now. Who knows, it may change next season.

I don't have an alma mater either, but it didn't stop me from liking the Florida State Seminoles. When the guy on the horse threw the flaming stick in the middle of the field and scared the crap out of the other team, was quite interesting. From then on, I rooted for them. I grew up in Tennessee and moved back here seven years ago. I didn't like the Vol's. The color orange makes me sick and it's hard not to get sick with seeing it everywhere. I remember watching Payton Manning play way before he went with the Colts. It's interesting to see these players go on and play pro. Now being married to a sports nut, it does take some joy out of watching football either it's pro or college. Now I do wear Navy gear, I didn't go to the Naval Academy, but I was in the Navy at one point in time. I need to get a Navy flag, so I can fly it on the day we play Army, lol.

I'm a huge Oregon Duck fan. The team won their bowl game. It was exciting to see them win after they lost several games during the season.

I saw Illinois vs USC tonight during a family gathering. That game was alright but I did do some /facepalms on several plays. Its not as great as pro, but I do enjoy it all the same from time to time.

I used to enjoy college bowl games, but I also can't get into it anymore. I still love the NFL and playoff games are a bigger thrill, but for some reason I can't relate to the college games after the season is over. I still enjoy the NCAA hoops tourneys and watch quite a few games though.
