To clean the temp files in your computer, you can use Windows' own Disk Cleanup: Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Disk Cleanup I also suggest you run some online scanners, to check your system for malware. Try these: http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml http://www.trendsecure.com/security_solutions/housecall_free_scan.php http://www.ewido.net/en/ http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/ax/ You might get in touch with your IT department, and see if there are any drivers or startup programs you might be allowed to disable. Hope this helps!

What do you mean? Posting links in myLot? That's not against the rules. It's actually myLot that turns them into hyperlinks, not me. I just paste the URLs, and myLot recognizes them as such. If I paste a secure URL that begins with https, myLot will not turn it into a hyperlink. :)

Do not run the background which are not required. delete the temp files, cookies. Hope this must atleast help you a bit.

If you find out let me know. I have a visionbook like a note book. It had two trojan viruses . When I first got it I thought it had all the anitviruses in it. I didn't know I had to go on internet for windows live and i must of downloaded something that had viruses piggybackking . Now I got my computer working (on my own.) but it is slower than before. Sometimes I think it still has a virus in it as it will say something has detected something else and shut off the internet. Also I haven't been able to get the backup files to work yet.

if you are not allowed to tamper anything in your office computer then i suppose you dont also have administator privilege in your computer and therefore you cant make any changes in its system.i suggest that you ask your company technician to speedup your computer a bit since they have the access to all the computers in your office.

i suggest that you coordinate with your company IT and report that problem... for the moment try deleting old files and softwares installed that your not using..also regularly delete temp files on your pc... if it doesnt fix your problem ask you IT if he/she can reformat the laptop and install fresh OS on your laptop....
