Is anyone else using an Epson printer, I got one for Christmas, and seem to be using 2 of the color ink cartridges way to fast. I have already replaced 2 of them after only printing 6 or 7 pictures, and replaced them and had the same thing happen again. Was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this same type of problem.

We have a Epson Stylus printer CX6000 and haven't run into this problem. It prints in high def, but we can usually print many more pictures with our ink. I don't often print 8 x 10s however. I love the picture quality and we often print pictures of our sons for their grandparents and other relatives and everyone raves about the quality. I think they think we get the photos printed at a camera shop. Did you try calling Epson, they may be able to help you with the problem?

Thank you for your response. I did in fact get hold of tech support, and we figured out it is actually the printer. The ink sensor is not working correctly, so it is now sitting on my table, packed up and ready to be returned for a new one. I had only printed 4x6 photos, and only got 6 out of one set of cartridges and when I replaced the two it indicated, I only got 4 pictures and 3 black and white text sheets before it told me the same two ink cartridges were out of ink.

when i print pictures i either use a photo printer specially designed for photos only or i upload them off the digi and send them to a place like walmart to get developed... i find that if you use a regular printer for printing pictures the ink goes alot faster.. but have never had the problem of 6 or 7 photos... i dont have a epson but i didnt care for epson along time ago for my printing needs plus everything was wrong with that thing...

This is a highdef photo printer, I love the pictures it prints, very clear, detailed, it's just the problem of replacing the ink. Thanks for your response. We also have a H-D printer and I've printed pictures on that, it does a pretty good job and it doesn't use near the ink that my new has. I'll be contacting the support line after while and see if they can give some insight.
