My spikey is a 3 years old labrador, he is healthy but since 2 months he is having a tumour near his chest, i was very worried and i took him to the vet, he told me that the tumor had grown to its final stage, and my dog would die the time the tumor bursts, he said he will not live more than 2 weeks, plz if anyone of you have had such an experience please tell me what can i do to save my spikie's life! Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Besides being a Vet I am a keen Dog lover and I understand the pain of loosing an intimate pet! I appreciate your concern and love for your dear pet, but as a technical man, I would say that you have shown and got examined yor Dog by a qalified Vet , I think there is really much you can do about saving the life of your beloved pet!Since your Vet already announced the prognosis, I personally think that there is no point in giving trouble to your Dog in the form of surgery etc as in such cases the surgeries are not rewarding always and post operative trauma is too much and some times unbearable! The suffering of the pet after the surgery will make you more frustrated and you may feel guilty for having taken such decision! I sincerely advise you to keep your Dog as happy as possible , give him some quality time and let him feel happy so that he can depart this World to his heaveanly abode in peace and with an contended heart!! With sympathetic understandings I wish you and your Dog all the best! May God bless you and your pet! {I sincerely appreciate your love and affection for the pets!}

My Dog whom we call as "Kaloo" which means "Blacky" looks almost like your Dog! What a coincidence ! I noticed the photograph after posting my discussion! All the best dear friend!

I am so sorry! Our dogs become one of the family, and it is so hard to lose them, especially when they are so young. I hope your vet is doing whatever he can, but if it is a hopeless situation, then just resolve to make Spikie's last days as happy as possible. I'm sorry I can't be of more help...I have three dogs myself. My heart goes out to you.
