My fiance loves my cooking. But sometimes yes i will agree with you there that alot of men do like their mothers cooking.. its something that they grew up on and thats what they are used to. but i have never had a problem with my fiance loving my cooking. i watch cooking shows and get alot of recipes online. i dont do the same dishes maybe once a month or once every 2 months or something like that.. im the same way i dont like eating the same thing over and over it gets pretty boring eating the same thing over and over...

My partner prefer sandwich if i didnt cook,, he wants me to prefer his sandwich everytime and if i cook we will always eat it and proud about it.. he will not hurt me to prefer the food over his parents,,, but if he will be like that then its big problem he better find a way to eat food from his parents all the time and thats it... no way back to me...huh...

Well, I for one don't. My mother always boiled vegetables into submission till they were grey, and I like them lightly steamed. Also, I like spicy food and she only made very plain food all the best urban

I guess I'm lucky. When I've been to my mother-in-law's home, and she offers something to my husband, he always wants me to make it. I do the "extras." His mom was going to heat a tortilla on a comal (griddle)... I heat it on a burner, giving it the char... When his mom was going to heat a bolillo (Mexican roll), she was going to nuke (microwave) it... I opened it and grilled the inside. In addition, I make my own enchilada sauce... she buys it in a can. I prefer things the homemade way, and he's gained that preference, as well. Uh... maybe I'm not so lucky! After re-reading this, it seems like an awful lot of work... but I love it!

it is not an insult. it is what they were raised on. lose the attitude & ask your mother-in-law to teach you to make it. good grief!

Its not INSULT ! After all your husband has been eating his mothers' cooked food for a long long time and he is used to it.He might not like his own mothers food but then his mother has developed his interest in her food by matching the right ingredients so that he always likes them. You can also try few things like asking your husband what he wants and also not feel shy asking his mother about how she makes them. This will help you and there is nothing to be felt insult of.. !
