Smoking is perhaps the most ubiquitous habbit! Even when the smoker knows that smoking is injurious to his health, he still does the same. I dont smoke and am strictly against it. Do you smoke? Do you support smoking? If it is so, explain me your side of the cube!

it is their choice if they want to smoke or not.. its not your choice to make it for them... im not agaisnt smoking as its a person choice / preference if they want to engage in it or not... they know the health risks etc but its the same as anything else out there that is harmful to you...

i tried to smoke about a decade ago when i was in college. some of my classmates smoke and they look so cool. so i tried. but i did not finish a stick. i didn't like it. if i know some one who smokes, i just ask them 'do you want to have cancer?' most of the answers i get is 'no, but i can't control myself' as a parent, i am now more than ever against smoking. and i just hate those people in public places who are aware that there are kids, but still smokes. i wish there a smokers area around, like an enclosed cylinder or something, where only they could inhale the smoke. :) smoking areas now just doesn't work because we breathe the same air they puff into.

I do smoke. I don't smoke inside, always outdoors. If I smoke in public, I make sure to always be outside, or in as open an area as I can find, and I always strip my cig butts and take them with me. I don't just chuck em on the ground, even in my own yard. I don't smoke around my kids, only other smokers, as they have made the same choice as I, and I do realize all the harmful effects of both inhaling directly and secondhand smoke. If I happen to be smoking in a parking lot, my son is already inside the car, in his carseat, and if someone walks by with a child, I try to move downwind so it doesn't get to them, too. I know full well that it's a nasty habit, and the more often my husband says so, the more it makes me want to. However, I try to be as conscientious as possible of others, unless they too are a smoker. If I am outside waiting for my dogs to poop, who are you to tell me I can or cannot smoke? If I am outside waiting for my dogs to poop and my son walks outside, the cig immediately goes in my sand-tray. No, I am not ashamed of my habit. It is very difficult to quit, and I don't entirely want to. I believe that it is an individual choice, and who is anyone to tell anyone else what he or she can or cannot do with his or her own lungs? If you have ever smoked, you will know that you never fully "quit" the habit, it just goes on a very lengthy sabbatical. As for the argument of air pollution: give me a break! Put all the smokers in the US together, and the amount of smoke produced MIGHT be as much as a single power plant. Besides, it's mostly just CO2 anyway, what little there is of everything else goes mainly into the lungs. Tell me to stop smoking, and tell the trees to stop growing. I do the best I can to leave this world the same way I came into it, but I'll be damned if I'm going to give up every little thing just because someone else is uncomfortable with it. I apologize for nothing, and I hope you enjoy my rant.

i am strictly against it, the reason is that smoking is not only injurious to his own body, but also others around him. relative research shows that almost 99 percent of injurant is taken by others near the smoker, only 1 percent is taken by himself.

I don't support it. It is bad to our health. For me, and searching about it and knowing the physical effect of smoking. And smoking is a very dangerous to our health specially to our lung. And if we are new to smoking, we didn't notice the effect of smoking to our body and if the times come, and it is notice that our body is polluted of what we called a nicotine and even we have a cancer to lung. Maybe smoking have some benefit but mostly there are some disadvantage in our health.

there has never been any conclusive evidence proving that smoking actually causes cancer. but there is a lot of money in convincing everyone that its the truth. however, i'm not convinced that its safe either. i think people should be allowed to do as they please. adults, that is. of course it should not be done around children, etc

I support smoking and the choice to smoke. However, I don't mind current anti-smoking laws where I live. You can't smoke in businesses or restaurants but you can still smoke in public if it's outside. Smokers and no-smokers kind of met halfway with these laws. I never smoke around my kids or anybody that politely asks me not too. But I wouldn't encourage people to do it (I wouldn't discourage anyone either because it's their right).

No I dont support it.I detest it when people smoke.I dont smoke.I simply cant stand the smell of it.I keep wondering when people know how injurious it is to one's health how they can enjoy it.They say its an addiction and cant get over it.I simply dont agree with these arguements.

I smoke once in a while. Though I agree it's a nasty habit there are worse (like serial killers have a worst habit). We should try to respect each other. It's a smoker's right to do what he wants with his life but he should also remember that his smoking may affect other and therefore should smoke "responsibly"
