Apophysis vs. Tierazon - two different worlds / myLot

I enjoy creating fractal images (look at my profile for some sample). Recently, I have downloaded Apophysis, and I expected to find a rendering software for Mandelbrot- and Julia-type fractals. But I have been deluded by finding something completely different. It is about a different TYPE of fractals, the chaos and random ones, generated by multiple funcions in a 3d-like environment. Very close to a customizable fractal funcion I found previously on Fractal Extreme. Here is a sample of the kind of images Apophysis can produce:
