Helium Reward-athon

I have been a member of Helium since the end of August. Now it might really pay off! I have been using Helium to build a semi-passive income and I am happy with it. I have 130 articles up and have been adding 10-15 a month. Now Helium is doing a 99 day program called Helium Reward-athon. They are going to give 1-3 dollars for every article you write as long as you have three rating stars (200-299 articles rated in 90 days). That is huge earning potential if you can sit down and whip out some articles! Plus you will continue to make pennies on all those articles just like normal! Or you can write for contests or the market place! What could be better then this?

I have like 12 articles on there so I don't know if I'll be making the reward but it's a pretty cool reward for those who have a lot of articles on there. Thanks for letting everyone know.

Well, if you can write enough quality articles you can get the reward. It is for all articles written from now till April 14th. You just need three rating stars and one or more writing stars. You get $1 for every article you wrote if you have one star at the end of it, $1.50 for two stars, $2 for three, $2.50 for four, and $3 an article if you have five writing stars. They are making the determinations at the end of the period, so you could write enough for more stars (in theory five of them and make $3 an article). Anyway, I am excited. I don't rate enough, so that is the hard part for me. But today I wrote 9 articles and rated 20 articles. I am done for the day, but in theory I made 27 dollars, plus performance pay, for about two and a half hours of work!

I went by the site and checked that out, I will try and write more for them. It's a great incentive. I never rate on there either, I rated for like 30 minutes today and hope that helps. I'll have to keep in mind to rate and write more often and see how much I can earn.

Sounds like a good program. How or where do you get enough ideas to write articles? I would love to write tons and tons of articles for Hubpages but my mind goes blank about the time I decide to write. That won't get me very far...lol Good luck to you, carolbee

Hubpages use to have suggestions about various topics. Haven't taken enough time lately to see if it's still offered. Thanks for the information about Helium. Will have to check it out.

Well, in order to make the reward you have to get one writing star and three rating stars. For writing that means you have 99 days (98 by time you get this) to write 12 or more really good articles. The more you write the easier it is to get your writing star. (Writing stars are given if after the bottom 10% of your articles are removed you are left with an average of being in the top fourth of all the articles). You also have to rate 200 articles in ninety days to get your rating star. It will be hardest to rate. But this could make thing much more exciting around Helium!

You also have to have at least one writing star, which I don't have, since I have some articles that need to be edited and resubmitted. But as long as you get one star by the end you will still get payment for all of your submissions. I'm going to give it a try.

I know, when I got my helium email about this, I was excited. I do have to write a few better articles to get that one writing star. But it is an exciting program, I'm not sure if it will get me to write any more. I want to though...

I agree, it really is a great promotion and a great opportunity to make some money and get some writing experience and exposure. I've been trying to whip out as many as possible myself but sometimes I have all these great ideas in my head but then when I sit down to actually write it I get brain freeze. Does that happen to you? Annie

Sometimes. For this I have a lot of windows and tabs open with articles I think I want to write on. Then I pick the article that I have the most ideas for, write, rate, and then move on to another one. Sometimes I go through several articles I think I want to write on before I actually do. I have worked real hard since last Monday and have written almost fifty articles. But I am getting bored spending that much time on Helium! LOL...well, I guess we will see where it takes us!
