Are Catus Plants Dangerous For Cats?

I do not have any plants, because my cats eat them, and I am worried that they are dangerous. I received a catus plant for xmas and thought, great my cat is not going to chew on that with all those needles. The other day I caught my cat rubbing on the needles. I don't think he chewed the plant, but is this plant dangerous?

Cactus is fine - lilies BAD... Cats will chew on sharp things, don't know why, but since they like to chew on things like broom straws I can see them chewing on cactus needles. so, alls good, just put the cactus where he/she can't fall or step on it.

I never knew lillies were bad. I know pointsettas are bad. The cactus is way up on my fridge. I came in one days and there was the little bugger. Cats are funny. The bugger is my avatar. Isnt he cute

He's a doll! The 2 cats in my avatar are Oliver, the little guy and Rygel. This was taken about xmas of 05, Oliver was almost 3 months old, Rygel just turned a year. Oliver's a bit bigger now.

to me that list looks like every known house plant. i am not going to buy a plant ever. i also have no idea what kind of cactus this is, there are three different kinds in one jar. Thanks for the info.

I don't know for sure but my partners mum has 3 cat and lots of cactus plants and they are all fine, I doubt they would chew on the cactus as this would surely hurt, they probably just like the scratch it gives them when they rub against it.

well that is good to know as I have not had any cactus plants before. like I said my cats eat every plant that comes into my house. my husband buys me roses for our anniversary and i cannot even have them in the house. I wake up in the morning and the roses are all over the place. : )
