Dont get me wrong I love my two older girls just as much, but if that ultrasound technician had told me I was having another girl I would have seriously bawled my eyes out! I finally got my boy in April of 2007...He was 5 weeks early per planned c-section and was a whopping beautiful 7lbs ( due to the steroid shots Im sure). He seriously has been the easiest and best baby. He hardly cries and is always full of smiles. Even teething has been going smooth. But what struck me the other day was I realized I can have birthday parties that are Spiderman, Batman, Cars, Thomas the Train even...Not just pretty pretty princess and barbie anymore!! Do you know how exciting that is to a Mom who has had to deal with girls for the past 7 years...LOL...Ahhh...its the small things in life when you are older that make you happy I guess..Has anyone else had similar feelings though?

Hahaha! I kind of know how you feel. However, I have 2 boys. My husband wants us to have another baby, and guess what? He wants a girl! So if I am to get pregnant one more time I think I'd about scream if I were to have another boy! Reason being? My husband would probably want to try again (and again) until we got that baby girl! :P Though at the same time I'd have a blast teasing the hell out of my family like I did when I was pregnant with my youngest. LOL They kept saying he was going to be a girl, and I kept saying it was going to be a boy. It drove them nuts! LOL

Oh no! And I thought I had it bad with my husband wanting a baby girl. LOL I did however give in to him and I agreed to try for one more. Though I warned him there could always be the chance of it being another boy. He's okay with this. Oh and we are doing it the good old fashioned way. If it happens, it'll happen naturally. :)

LOL...I soo know what you are going through. My hubby wants to have another one as well and wants another boy to even up the kids..lol..What a dork :) Anyway I told him there is no way he can promise me 100% to have a boy so its not going to happen. I think he is disappointed a bit, but seriously I was such a horrible teenager Im going to get my penance enough with the two girls I have. And I dont want to spend thousands on genetic testing...So when modern science makes it possible for him to get pregnant we will see...lol

Congratulations. Yes, after having kids of the same gender a couple of times in a row it is a nice change to get the other. You get to look at a whole new collectiojn of toys and videos. After all, it's not just for the kid's sake that we buy those. Enjoy!

Thats another reason why I didnt want another girl! I was a rebellious teen and am afraid my girls will be the same way. At least I dont have to worry about my Son coming home and going Mom Im pregnant. Granted he can get someone pregnant, but its not the same when its your little girl carrying a child of her own. I dont know maybe its just me..lol..but my boy so far has been the best baby ever! :)

Hmm, i think you are really very happy for the boy. its ok. but is it the case that you are biased towards male child than girl child? But i would have loved barbies than planes, spiderman and so on. they are gift of god and all should be treated same.

No not biased...I love my daughters just as much. Its just a nice change of pace. Not to mention when girls are teens you have more to worry about when it comes to certain things. I am kinda offended by your comment and dont think you should judge people by a simple post like this. I treat my kids the same and love them the same.

My son was such a good baby as well. My second, a girl, was a holy terror. She cried so much. I love my baby boy, but I think I am the opposite of you. I love the girly girl stuff. You have had to deal with only that for 7 years and wanted a boy so I can understand your position. My son is my favorite person in the world but I love having a girl for all the girl stuff involved.

I think honestly it just depends on if you have a girl or a boy first. LOL...I had girls first and had to deal with all the girly stuff and now I have a boy and Im excited to do something other than Barbie or Bratz for a change. I like the girly stuff too, I just get a break from it now :)
